Holy Bible Tyndale Bible 1536

I’m glad to get a copy of this old classic. The product is as expected.

A facsimile of the NT and parts of the OL which were translated by Tyndale before he was martyred. I was wanting a Greek to English translation of the NT to check Matthew 24 : 3 And as he sat vpon the mout Olivete his disciples came vnto hym secretely sayinge. Tell vs when these thinges shalbe? And what signe shalbe of thy comynge and of the ende of the worlde? Here there are clearly 2 questions asked, not 3 which some teach. The quality of the book is very good, and for less than £11.00 the value is amazing. I was so impressed that I bought another copy.

A fantastic paper back presentation of William Tyndale's translation of the New Testament and parts of the Old Testament that he managed to complete before his untimely demise. The print is clear and the English of Tyndale's day is thoroughly fascinating and it is highly instructive to compare Tyndale's Bible to the King James version. In many instances Tyndale's translation outshines that of the KJV. This product is worth every penny and more.

Great that it is in moder print and not a facsimile. Would have preferred a bigger font, I do need glasses to read. I would have liked a modern spelling to the 15th century spelling, as has been done with the KJV. Some critics might point out "missing books" but they either forget or are ignorant that Tyndale was martyred before he could complete his work. I am greatful that we have what we have as Tyndale gave us the first translation out of the original languages. Apart from that everything is good.

I'm very happy with this collection of books/ Bible. Each book's title being on the top of the pages makes each book easy to locate. The writing size is 👍 great. No eye strain. 👀... this is a great buy. You can't go wrong, and the translation is honest and accurate. I ❤️ love this book. Easy to read 📚 as I'm taught/ learnt in many scriptures. Rip to the martyred writer. He's gonna be rewarded in heaven.

The only drawback is the print. It's a bit small and faint. Makes it difficult to read.

The print is basic but perfectly clear. A valuable resource for the student of the Bible and its history.

Unfortunately this bible is not complete. They did not include all the Hebrew books which Tyndale translated, like Joshua etc cetera. They also did not include all the other books of the Hebrew Bible which form the Matthew Bible. Quite disappointing...

オンラインで読める時代ではありますが、自分には紙の本の方がじっくり考えるのには勝っていますので、手元に置きたかったティンダル訳が安価に鮮明な印刷で手に入って大変満足しています。ジェームズ王欽定訳は現代の綴りに直されているので語法の古さ以外は大して苦労しませんが、これは五百年前の綴りそのままなのでちょっと戸惑います。とはいっても聖書に慣れていると大体あの言葉だなと勘が働くので頭を抱えることは無いようです。 概ね i と j, u とvが未分化で、語末に今は無い e が付いていることがある事を心得ていると今の綴りの察しはつきます。一例として Exodus 6:3は and I appeared vnto Abraham, Isaac and Iacob an allmightie God: but in my name Iehouah was I not knowne vnto them. で、現代人でも十分読めるものです。（欽定訳では And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.） 数字がローマ数字混じりなのは正直なところ読みにくいですね。例えばGenesis 5:25は And Mathusala lyved an hundred and lxxxvij. yere and begat Lamech.です。 できればこれを五百年前の発音を再現して朗読したものを聞いてみたいものですけれど、そんなプロジェクトは無いかなあ？AIを活用して実現すると面白そうですが。 なお、含まれているのは聖書本文だけで、ティンダルによる注釈は付いていません。
