The black ink is smooth and dependable and unlike cheaper ballpoints that "skip" or require a scribble to get started, the RSVP usually writes immediately upon hitting the paper. The 1.0mm medium stainless steel tip is incredibly durable. It produces a bold, clear line that is easy to read without being as "messy" as some gel pens can be. One of its best underrated features is the sturdy metal clip. It’s much more durable than plastic clips and stays securely fastened to notebooks or shirt pockets. It is very smooth for a ballpoint, though not as "slick" as a gel pen. The pens last a long time; you'll likely lose it before it runs out of ink. Dry Excellent for left-handed writers who worry about smudging. With12 pens per pack, the cost-per-pen ratio is hard to beat. While these are disposable pens, they are actually refillable (using Pentel BKL10 refills). This is a nice eco-friendly bonus if you grow attached to the barrel. The Pentel RSVP BK91 is the "Old Reliable" of the pen world. It doesn't try to be flashy; it focuses on being comfortable and consistent. It is perfect for students taking frantic notes or professionals who need a pen that won't fail during a meeting.

I used to get the fine point pens. I had no idea they made the medium point. I like writing with the medium point, and these are fantastic. I used them constantly. They write as soon as I use it, and had never skipped or stopped writing.

Finally! An "old-fashioned" ballpoint pen with all of the good features and none of the bad. Good ones...nice, hard point for when you need it, ink doesn't smear if it gets wet, clear case so you can see how much ink is left, a cap that slides on and off easily, has a side clip for pockets or paper and ink doesn't form a 'glop' on the side of the tip as you write (at least not so far, I've been scribbling for about ten minutes and no sign of one at all). Bad ones NOT here...ridges in the case that hurt your hand. Other good features...a small but comfortable grip right where it's needed. (The old-fashioned ones had none.) Yesterday a drop of water got onto a very dry phone number that I had written with a gel pen and it smeared to unreadability. I'm tired of these new inks smearing. I really needed that number. (Four numbers smeared so it's not like I can just dial ten different phone numbers and eventually reach the one I need.) So I got thoroughly bummed and angry and looked up ballpoint pens, hoping I had found a good one with all the features I needed. And I did! When they arrived today I immediately wrote something and then poured water on it. No running or smearing at all. Yes, I'll still keep my "safety" pens for writing checks, and yes, I do like all the cool colors the gel pens come in, but when I'm writing something important like an address or phone number, I will definitely reach for one of these. And I did notice how nice this pen felt in the hand and all the above good points, too. By the way, before I wrote this review, I first ordered another box. Yes, they may look "cheap" with the near all plastic, but they are comfortable...and like I think someone else wrote, the black color makes them look less cheap.

Love these pens! Use for work, business, planner, etc. No smearing. Easy to use. The cap isn't hard to take off like other pens I've used. Writing is very simple. I always write in black ink, so if that is what you prefer, you won't be upset with purchasing these.

This is my favorite pen. I was born with arthritis. So to work a 30 year, 24 hour, call center job. And working 17 hour days. These pens are the ones I used. Others pens I would need to soak my hands afterwards. So I could move my fingers. These pens helped the hands not to hurt so much. The med ink is easier on the eyes. They are the best pens! I am back again. I have lost count of how many I have ordered. The sale price was a blessing.

My absolute favorite pen. The pen itself is just the right size for my hands. I can’t do the thin pens anymore. The writing is so smooth.

These are a pretty decent pen for a “stick-type” ball point. They’re not too thin or thick. The grip barely covers a “finger”, but as I’ve been using them for a long time, it is easy to get used to. As I have colorful other RSVP pens (patriotic, camo, razzle-dazzle), I usually get the plain/clear ones to refill those pens with. And, I’ve also discovered the “refills” in these pens work with a different pen – the Pilot Camo Retractable Ball Point Pen. In fact when I went to look for my particular one (Navy digital), a few people had asked about the “refills” so I pointed them here. These pens would be great for refills, or for use on their own. I also used them when I worked at pizza shops for the credit card customers. The ink starts right off and doesn’t smudge which is good for the “thermal” receipts. The tip is durable enough for the “multi-copy” documents as well.

Conheço essa caneta desde anos atrás e comprava logo uma caixa mas faz tempo que não encontro mais em papelarias.Essa caneta é confortável, macia ao escrever e não acumula aqueles pelotes de tinta na ponta que tanto me irrita em outras esferográficas. Eu prefiro a de escrita grossa de 1.0 mm
