Worked well from the start, easy to use just plug it in, a good amount of power, and is still going strong after months of use. It’s caught loads of flies, a few moths and even the odd wasp. I do feel a bit bad for the buggers, but it does what it’s meant to do.The first few zaps made me jump, especially in the quiet, and sometimes there a bit o a smell when it zaps a bug, but you get used to it quickly. It’s been handy in the kitchen and light enough that I can move it to the lounge if there's a particularly pesky fly that might have used the lounge window to sneak in. Easy to clean and doesn’t take up much space but you need a little bit of space mostly lengthwise, however it can be hung up out of the way.If you’re after something that actually works and doesn’t need constant fiddling, this is a solid pick.

Extremely effective at attracting and killing large and small flies. We have this on the floor beside large expanse of glass. On days where the doors to the garden have been open all day, we get flies inside. We turn this on at dusk for an hour or two. Not the most attractive design but very good at its job!

As title says, one of the two lamps installed in the device came broken — it was not working from the very start.

Update:It does a great job. I placed it in the garage, which is where all the flies were coming from, it killed them all. So many dead flies around the machine and a lot of other big and small flying insects as well. Up'ing my review to 5 stars. All about placement, do try places where the bugs enter the house and stop the problem at the source.Old reviewI have had this running for about 3 days. I placed it in the kitchen where we have had a dozen flies flying around since a week or so. It didn't attract a single fly during the day or night. Flies are busy flying around the kitchen, not paying any attention to this device.I will place it in the garage to see if it attracts anything else, or else, return the item since it doesn't do the only job it needs to do.

Wir können gar nicht mehr ohne. Keine Ahnung, wie wir die letzten Jahre ohne so ein Gerät auskamen. Wir schlafen aufjedenfall ruhiger und die lästigen Fliegen sind auch weniger geworden. Ab und zu schrecken wir mal zusammen, wenn es einen alten Knall gibt, weil wieder jemand in die Falle getappt ist.Aufjedenfall das Gerät höher hängen, wir hatte es eine Zeit auf der Kommode stehen, da hatten wir nicht so gute Ergebnisse.
