Half-Unit Markings Make These Perfect for My Diabetic Cat
I have purchased multiple boxes of these syringes to use for giving insulin to my diabetic cat, and I have been very happy with them. The biggest advantage for me is the half-unit markings. When giving smaller doses of insulin, being able to measure in smaller increments is extremely important and makes accurate dosing much easier. I actually had a hard time finding syringes with half-unit markings, since there donโt seem to be nearly as many options available. These are easy to use, the markings are clear, and they have worked reliably for us. I will continue purchasing them.

Great syringes for diabetic cats
Update- company reached out and offered a full refund, so I will continue to buy these and hopefully the issue was only with that specific lot. The other boxes have been great. Original review- These needles were great, but the last box has been full of ones that I couldn't use- either the rubber stopper inside won't go all the way to the 0 line or the needles are already bent. I've also had 2 that seemed dull as they didn't pierce the skin well at all. It's very disappointing as these have been working so well for my diabetic cat, but if I didn't use a caliper for dosing I wouldn't have consistent insulin dosages.

Vet syringes for a pet with diabetes
These syringes are made for animals and have a shorter needle. That is very helpful when you have to grab some loose skin in the pet's haunches to give your furry friend a shot. They are a great value for the number of syringes, and the shorter needlepoint make it safer and offer more comfort for animals requiring shots 1+ times a day.

Works fine but markings need to be clearer
Overall, these work just fine; the needle is a good length for pets, the plunger moves easily, and the caps are easy to remove. However, I have to take off one star because the markings are somewhat confusing. It is not immediately obvious which markings are whole units and which are half units. The needles themselves do not match the product photos. The photo comparing half-unit and whole-unit syringes shows a single column of markings with small half-unit marks between the whole unit marks. These do NOT look like that. They have a vertical line with whole-unit marks on one side and half-unit marks on the other, like you can see if you zoom in on the picture of the box. However, in that picture the half-unit marks are shorter so you can tell which is which. The actual marks are all the same size so it's easy to use the wrongs ones if you're not paying very close attention. Since you're likely giving your cat only 1 or 2 units at a time, being off by a half-unit is a big error. If you need half-unit syringes, these will work but they're not as easy to use as they should be for a critical medical device.
