Fiddly but effective
I got this to cover a sharp broken tooth while I waited for an appointment with my dentist. It's a bit of a fiddle to use, as it doesn't always stick in place, and it takes a bit of trial and error before you get the hang of squeezing a tiny piece into place. I did end up swallowing several pieces accidentally without any ill effects. Once I'd got the technique for using the wax, it very effectively saved my tongue and the inside of my cheek from shredding into a painful mess. You only need a really tiny piece so it lasts a lot longer than you expect. Personally I found the faint mint flavour wasn't very noticeable, but some children are very sensitive to mint so this might not suit everyone. I wish I'd been offered this back in the day when I had braces (I still have the scars).

What a saviour!
I recently had four small bolts or ‘buttons‘ fitted on the inside of my lower teeth ready for elastics. They were causing lacerations to my tongue and it was so painful to eat and talk. At the start of my treatment my orthodontist gave me some dental silicone in a tube, which I tried to reorder but it was very expensive especially as I am nearing the end of my 12 month treatment. So I tried this as a cheaper alternative and it really has been a life saviour. It’s malleable, you only need a small amount, it stays in place for most of the day, despite being under rigorous motion form my tongue and has taken the pain away. It does slip a bit if I eat a meal but is so easy to replace. Highly recommend.

Won't work on broken teeth
My daughter had an accident and had broken some teeth which became sharp. I bought this dental wax to try on the teeth to see if it would work to help stop her tounge from becoming sore. Unfortunately it wouldn't stay on the teeth so we couldn't use it but for the price it was worth a try.

just is not worth the price
i just got braces put on and have been relying on wax and ran out of the one the dentist gave me so i ordered this one. my first impression was it’s very rough to mould and crumbles at first once you manage to mould it into a putty consistency it’s very difficult to stick and feels very unstable however there isn’t any sent and is pretty straightforward.

Great easy product
With 2 sons using braces these are a lifesaver when the wires move or become dislodged. I even used some once when I broke a tooth to stop food getting in before the dentist. Great product easy to use. No ill effects when swallowed either

Brilliant for a broken tooth!
Having broken a tooth on Friday evening by Saturday lunchtime my tongue was very painful underneath at the side where it was in constant contact with a sharp edge. Googling this problem suggested 2 options and so I bought some dental wax which arrived Sunday morning. I couldn’t find this locally and resorted to sugar-free gum for 24 hours. The chewing gum worked as a cushion over the sharp edge but kept falling off any time I moved my tongue, which I apparently do a lot especially if I talk or eat, yawn or cough. The sharp point also worked its way through the chewing gum which was too soft really. So dental wax was applied as soon as possible and it has been wonderful. It has stuck to the tooth properly, even allowing me to eat lunch (mainly on the other side) and talk properly. It hasn’t fallen off all afternoon/evening. It has covered all the sharp edges and not allowed them through. It lessens the sensitivity of the tooth, is comfortable and barely noticeable. Feels slightly as if I have something inside my cheek, which I do, but it’s not annoying and is easily forgotten. There’s no flavour. I know it’s primary use is to cover brace fittings, but it has been fab for a sharp broken tooth edge until I get to see a dentist.

Useless.
Worst dental wax I've ever bought. It doesn't stick to anything, not even itself so it doesn't stay where it is supposed to. Absolutely no durability. It has a weird crumbly texture so its not even particularly mouldable. Really difficult to use because of all this. Total waste of money. Slight minty taste but very subtle. Don't waste your money.

Great for broken tooth
Ordered this to cover the sharp edges of a broken tooth while awaiting dental treatment. It works amazingly well. Its easy to mold and put in place and then firms up well allowing me to eat and drink without pain. It can be removed and remolded a few times before it becomes brittle. Works far better than the softer waxes for this purpose.
