Corel WordPerfect Office Home & Student 2021 | Office Suite of Word Processor, Spreadsheets & Presentation Software [PC Disc]

I ordered this software to replace an old version of Microsoft Office that I got through my work and had to delete when I retired. I also purchased a new Windows 11 computer since my old home computer was not compatible with Windows 11, and it was starting to show it's age. I didn't want to spend the money for a subscription to MS Office or pay $180 for MS Office Home, especially since all I will pretty much use is the word processor. I saw this Word Perfect software was a very reasonable price and, I got a hardcopy disc. I had used Word Perfect before in the past and decided to save some $$$ and get this one. After applying $20.00 of Amazon Credit Card points it was very very reasonably priced. I plugged my portable DVD drive into a USB port on my new computer and installed the software from it. It loaded up flawlessly and I quickly got it up and running. I tried it with some of my old MS Word documents and it converted them perfectly. I modified one of the newly converted MS Word documents and it printed just fine. I think this is the perfect Office Suite for casual home use and the price is great. It arrived the next day after ordering it and the box was in perfect condition. If you just need a word processor and a spreadsheet that you only use rarely, this is the one to get. I really don't need the presentation portion of the software since, being retired, the only presentation I would ever have to make is to my wife, our dog, and the cat, and none of them care.

I mostly got this for the spreadsheet app. I worked daily with some pretty complex spreadsheets using Excel. Trying to create a spreadsheet using this app was pretty difficult because nothing well many things do not operate like Excel. Formatting and sorting even copy paste proved to be really difficult to do and it was not intuitive. I had to look up everything and still simple things like copy paste did not make it easy to do. I guess if you have used this application it would be great and I like that you can buy it and own it. If Microsoft had that option I would have bought that because I have lots of experience. I am only going to use it infrequently so I am not going to spend the time to get proficient on it. I went back to openoffice which had a difficult time opening one of the files so it took a few attempts to even do that.I am sure it does a lot of things but for me and your experience might be different is that it is not intuitive at all and even the photo app was a challenge to do even simple things.

If this product is the same that I used in my business a few years ago, I really want to purchase it. However, in the downloadable version none of the codes provided permitted finalizing the installation of the WordPerfect. Thinking the delivered DVD would work, I ordered it and neither of the codes provided on the packaging worked in finalizing the installation of WordPerfect. I called Corel customer service when the downloadable version was un-installable and got no help, but was referred to Amazon customer service who could not help so I was credited. Also, I have Windows 11 which the Amazon product description indicates compatibility, but the packaging does not. Perhaps just old packaging. I intend to reach out to Corel customer service after the holiday. Hopefully, that will permit successful installation of WordPerfect. Also, lest one think I don't know what I am doing, I had my computer tech attempting load the DVD on to my computer, but even he could not do it with the codes provided.

Back in the 90's every secretary had WordPerfect. Then, with MS Word, it became more popular, but lately, with WordPerfect Office being seamlessly compatible with MS 365 or Office, I am so glad I switched because of the cost and ease of using Corel. I love the Lightning product far better than Word Presentation. Quattro Pro, well, we learned spreadsheets on this, and Excel just copied it. You will love the Notes that are included. Who can argue the cost $50 versus MS $300?

Word Perfect was one of the original word processors developed for PCs. It was later squeezed out by MicroSoft Office. It is not as polished as Office, but it is cheaper and easily meets your requirements for the normal everyday student, home owner's use. I have used it for years. This copy was for a new computer. I intend to stick with WordPerfect - their office product includes all the features found in the competition. It is also compatible with Office documents and others. I recommend it to you.

Does not automatically convert files the first time once set works good

Wordperfect is the very first word processing software I learned to use years ago until my employer switched to MS Word. I eventually began using it on my home pc until this past week when I had to purchase a new desktop with Windows 11. I wasn’t able to transfer my MS Word from my old computer to my new one.After the high cost of my new desktop I couldn’t see myself forking out so much money for MS Office 360. Finding just MS Word for a one time purchase turned out to be impossible and I wasn’t about to subscribe for it on a monthly basis. It wasn’t worth the high cost since being retired I no longer do a lot of word processing. I knew Amazon would not let me down and right away I found WordPerfect for instant download at a one time price. To make it even better, it was on sale!It was fairly easy to download from Amazon. Read my words carefully though as I said “fairly easy”. I wasn’t disappointed as WordPerfect has changed very little through the years and my documents look great. My experience from the past returned back to me immediately.All I’ve got left to say is “GOODBYE MS WORD” and “hello again WordPerfect you old and reliable friend”. TY Amazon for not letting me down.

Works so much better than windows MS word processor. Simpler with more functionality. For example legal documents.

I had to upgrade my WordPerfect as I bought a new computer which had Windows 11 loaded as the operating system and my older version no longer worked. I absolutely despise Microsoft products because on the few occasions I have to use my computer I don't want to have to waste time doing what I call playing video games to get to the actual work platform. WordPerfect and the ancillary programs included in the suite are Perfect for what I need and this version is not a disappointment. It installs easily and bingo! it is ready to go. Corel/Wordperfect products are the BEST! Plus, Corel has the Best Customer Service!The only program I might prefer is dBase, which was my introduction to computing.

i HAVE USED WORDPERFECT AND QUATROPRO FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPOINTED. EXCELENT PRODUCT.

THE FONFS ARE TO SMALL AT THE TOP OF THE SETECTION LINE.YOU SHOULD HAVE MADE THEM TWO LINES WITH LARGER FONTS.THERE ARE LOTS SPACE TO DO THIS.
