Is this fuel compatible for use in an oil lamp?

Yes it is compatible with oil lamps. That is what I bought and use if for, my reason for buying it rather than lamp oil is because it has a whole lot less smoke to it. Therefore lamp chimney’s require less cleaning, less often.

Question please - thinking of getting a kerosene heater as backup or power outage if I do not use this kerosene this year will it still be good next?

Yes as long as it’s sealed . I used out of a 5 gallon can for 3 years . It’s a good way to get through power outages !

does this emit any carbon monoxide?

If your heater is improperly adjusted and not maintained it will. If you follow the recommendations for kerosene heaters they burn 99.9% efficient and produce only water vapor and Co2.  Carbon Monoxide detectors are commonly available and required in mosty jurisdictions now if you are worried.

What is the difference between this and parrafin oil?

This is highly refined K1 kerosene which has been hydrotreated in order to remove even more of the odor causing substances. 
Parrafin is a liquid wax. Paraffin will burn even cleaner than this does, but cannot be used in situations that drop below 40* F where it will freeze. Parrafin also has far less energy in it per unit so it will not burn as long, and it is thicker and doesn't wick as well. This means that it cannot be used in larger wicked kerosene burners. It should only be used in lamps with a wick up to about 3/4 inch.

Klean heat IS kerosene though. It is NOT entirely odor free, however it's extremely close. It will depend entirely on the device burning it. For example, in some lanterns the radiant heat from the flame will heat the fuel below and cause the odor to be detectable. Cold blast lanterns are a good example of this. Higher and hotter flames in these lamps will help consume the vapor and smell less. The actual combustion is 100% odor free, it's the unburnt fuel that is being vaporized that you can smell in this case. Klean Heat will burn brighter and for about twice as long per fill as parrafin oil as well. This makes it much less expensive when used for heat and light in a lamp.

TLDR if you want a candle sized flame with no smells at all for dinner and ambiance lighting, chances are you want parrafin oil. If you want something that can be burnt in any oil candle, any kerosene appliance, and will server as emergency  heating backup when your home freezes but still wany less smell than kerosene you want Klean Heat.

One more final note. _ALL_ fuels will smoke when there is too much fuel for the available air. Rich burning fire means smoke!
Keep the wick as low as possible for the light required. Kerosene and parrafin alike cannot be used in a fire pit format, EVER. Only alcohol can be used cleanly in such burning configurations.
