Will it fire BBs or only pellets?

it will only fire 177 cal pellets or 22 cal. depends on the cal. of gun. I think a bb would jam the gun. I wouldn't recommend trying it.

Does it really shoot 1250 fps

mine crono's at 910 FPS with medium weight 8.18 grain lead pellets. Lighter pellets go faster but accuracy suffers. I am amazed at how little cocking effort is required to reach this velocity. It cocks like an old 700 fps rifle that I own.

This is going to sound like a stupid question but where does the air come from? Does this take a cartridge? Do you pump this? I'm confused.

Confused…rightfully so! A quick read over the advertised info shows it’s a break barrel and it is powered by co2! I got here by searching for “pcp air rifle”? Go figure
