What is the finished size?How long will it take?

It is the size that the kit describes because the mat or template is that size. The time it takes to complete depends on the user and how much they work on it whether continually or intermittently and the size of the kit. It is suppose to be a relaxing endeavor since it is an easy craft to do.

Is the pattern actually printed on the canvas?

It is very hard to see the pattern on the canvas. I am working from the grid they sent with the rug. I enlarged the grid on my printer and as I finish each row, I am marking it off. I love the way the rug is finished on the back, though. I makes it ok that it is hard to see the pattern on the canvas -- but it does get to be a little frustrating to keep checking back and forth between the grid and the canvas.
