My counter top adjacent to my sink always gets splashes so I wanted something to catch those splashes, yet not take up too much space. This is perfect for that and also a place for an occasional glass or small container to dry. The water drains into the sink and the mat stays dry. I've also used it for a trivet next to the sink to place a hot pot before washing it.

This works well for glasses, and fits the small space to the left of my sink. Sturdy, good quality.

Very nice but wish it was bigger

I bought this as we mainly use our dishwasher, but do handwash some specific things. This doubles as a dish drying mat and also a place to put hot pans. It isn't overly big (a big smaller than I expected), but fits well into our kitchen.Two things to know - for us we have a small 1/16" lip on our sink. This little lip is enough to counteract the gravity draining so we have some standing water on ours (small amounts, if it is a lot it will still drain). Also, we bought the dark blue color - when water drops dry on it ours has small white spots all over it from the dried water. Likely something in our water, but it doesn't look the best. The good part, if you want to wash this, we just pop it into the dishwasher from time to time.
