This thing is excellent! I've had this for 15 years now. I can't believe I haven't reviewed it until now but here goes... It's worth every penny. As I've gotten older I appreciate it more and more. It's easy to use, providing you have the reaching ability. Mounting right under the cabinet was simple. You can't even see it. You don't know it's there unless you look. I've tried many different gadgets for opening jars and ended up struggling with those usually because of a gripping issue. I even had the automatic one that spins then pops for you, but that one didn't last long before it died. I don't have trouble holding onto anything with this. It doesn't take much grip strength. If you struggle with jars or any kind of twist cap, this will work for you. Be aware that it can leave marks on some lids that protrude a tiny bit. They could be sharp in some instances. But it only ever happened to me once opening a pickle jar. For me it was money well spent. 15 years! And still going strong.

I have difficulty opening jars, water bottles, etc. I have been using some hand held jar openers, but decided to try this. It was very simple to install and so easy to use! It isn’t seen unless you look under the cabinet. I use it daily to open small tops on a water bottle as well as large lids on a jar of spaghetti sauce. I highly recommend it for anyone who needs help opening lids of any size.

I had one in my house, and liked it so much, I installed one in my new apartment. It is sturdy, has a great grip, and does not take all that much effort to get lids to rotate. However, be sure to buy the EZ brand. I ordered a different one, less expensive, from another site, and it was trash. Did not work, threw it away. Came back to Amazon to buy this. Worth it.

It works OK opens the jars. We’ll see what happens overtime. The plastic could be a little bit. Better quality.

This is the best jar opener I have ever used. I have rheumatoid arthritis in both my wrists and it is impossible for me to open any kind of jars. This opener is so easy to use and doesn't hurt my hands at all to use it. It opens any lid quick and easy.

I bought one last year for myself, an older woman with arthritis and I find I literally couldn't live without it! My hands have become very weak, and opening bottles, jars or anything with tight lids would be impossible. The unit has stayed strong and still works great. I attached it to underneath an upper cabinet in my kitchen and I can't count how many times I've relied on it. I love it so much that I recently bought 2 more for family members. These are truly indispensable for those of us who have experienced aging hands or even for just opening stubborn lids. BUY ONE (or more). YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

I put this under our cabinet for my wife and she has fallen in love with it. Jars open easily, no struggle, and since it has been installed she has not needed to ask for help opening a single container. My only complaint is the teeth are a little aggressive and can poke tiny holes in metal lids. The benefits vastly outweigh my concerns. Get this, don't debate, the cost-benefit is well in your favor.

The tool is very weak it can’t open new sealed jars covers and always slips over and the gear teeth came out from its place Don’t buy it

Works like a charm. Especially with large jars that are often too difficult to open by hand and too large to use the automatic jar opener.

I bought one of these in Canada and liked it so much that I sent one to one to my brother in England. Well designed for us people with arthritis. It fits under a drawer - out of the way but always handy. Great , buy one without hesitation.
