Can this be used with air only? Like a small air compressor?

Can I use this to spray varnish?

I didn't think so as the tip orifices are fairly large. In the past I have had other rechargeable bottles that came with tips like a spray can. This one doesn't.

What happens if i pressurize past 90 psi? ( went as far as 100 before i turned it off)

It has a safety valve that opens at 140 psi give or take a couple psi. But with any sprayer valve the higher the pressure the sooner it will leak past essentially always spraying as you apply air pressure. If you pressurize it with a very high psi from say a commercial oxygen tank used in a torch set it could rupture.

how far will this stream? 15 or20 feet?

I put chain and cable oil in it. It went 1 inch.
