Better than the carbon steel woks
Heavy, sturdy, and well made. I use this for stir fry, but mostly for pasta dishes because it holds a lot and you can flip the pasta and sauce easily - well, you need to be able to wield a heavy pan. I’ve bought this for myself and bought as a gift for another. Far better investment than the carbon steel woks, and so much easier to clean.

Heavy duty!
Love this wok pan. Heats evenly, definitely easy clean up. It does have weight to it but works extremely well. Nothing sticks to it! Just slides right out! A little pricey but worth the cost. I've used it for several months and it looks brand new. I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Love it, use it all the time and not one issue.
We love this pan/wok. We use it several times a week for everything from more robust sauces to vegetables. In a pinch I used it to make eggs which is NOT what it is made for but worked out well enough. What do you want out of a non-stick pan? 1) Good even cooking. This pan cooks really well and the surfaces heat up uniformly as expected. This assumes a uniform heat from below of course. We use gas flames and a double ring burner and it works perfectly. 2) Durability. I will admit I am not the most careful when putting away my pots and pans. I often end up with one sitting inside another. This pan has suffered that fate regularly and has not scratched or dinged. 3) Surface Adherence. They say you can use metal utensils with this. I try and avoid using metal but I have used a spoon or fork on occasion to move or taste things, and there has been contact with the surface. There was no visible impacts to the pan at all. 4) Ease of cleaning. The inside is as easy to clean as any pan or pot I have ever owned, wipes out very simply and cleans well. I've tried it in the dishwasher once (it is a bit big and just takes up too much space in the machine to do it often) and it cleaned to like new. The outside is a bit harder to clean due to the surface texture but it will clean with a little extra elbow grease. I also found using white vinegar or a little lemi-shine mixed with water works well. Careful of the lemi-shine as it is a bit abrasive. Caution, the handle can get HOT if over another flame or near another working pot or pan. Handle it carefully and keep it out from over flame. I haven't used this in the oven yet so can't comment.

Great quality, better than pictured
Great quality, ideal in size and replaces the old one of 15 years that finally scratched excessively ..the new brand of Cephelon has a protective layer that won't scratch when washed..its lightweight, deep, at 12 inches..perfest for stir fried foods Chinese or other Asian dishes..great for frozen meals, stroganoff and other mixes sauce meals as well..like a wok, but stronger and more durable..awesome and very happy with my pan..keep it oiled when in use or not in use

Good product, watch out for sratches
Well built and heavy wok, but watch out for the scratches. I use only wooden or plastic spoons to avoid any scratches, nonetheless I just noticed a few scratches on the bottom of the wok, which I really wonder how it's possible. I am concerned about the durability, if only after 2 uses this wok is already scratched despite I was careful to treat it well.

5 Stars....Why read this?
this is a back up Wok to our set that we have had for over 38 years. I don’t know anyone that has a cooking set this long unless they own a Caphalon set. No scratches. No spray on non- stick to flake off and get in your food. The non-stick is not JUST a surface layer...it is through and through the entire cooking layer. All my set still looks amazing, love how they cook and easy so easy to clean. Each one of my 4 children received a complete set as one of their wedding gifts from us. They actually asked for them. They would try and pull some fast ones on us by saying after dinner and back to their apartment stuff like “we’ll just take the leftovers in the pot and bring it back next visit”. We soon realized we were being had and needed to track down our pot bc the little pains would hope we would forget about it. That’s how great they are. Signature Series is the absolute best. Can use metal cooking utensils. Nothing sticks in the slightest. Recommend 1000%.

I've never owned a wok before. Did my research (as always) and decided on this bad boy. Freakin' amazing! Pros: - great heat distribution - comes with a lid (that should be standard -- well done) - very easy to clean - handle on opposite side - just a pleasure to use - turned me into a freakin' chef! - it was so amazing, I ordered a second one for my girlfriend Cons: - smaller handle can get very hot - just be careful - a little on the heavy side, but I actually prefer this -- solid build quality -- but some may want a lighter wok - why is the price the same in USD on the dot com Amazon site as the CAD price? Lol. Suckers

This wok was everything I had hoped for and more. It's a great size. Big enough to prepare several servings, but not so big that it doesn't nest with other pans. The non-stick surface works great! The lid works very well, and makes it easy to steam the vegetables once the meat has been fully cooked. The only small negative is that the handle of the lid gets a little hot, so I generally have to use a pot holder to lift it once the food is hot. This is the second Calphalon Signature Hard Anodized Nonstick pan that I have purchased. I always use a silicone spatula for both pots, so neither pot has even a single scratch! Washes like a dream (little to no effort at all - just wipe out with a soapy wash cloth).

Calphalon is at the top of the food chain (pardon the pun) for non-stick anodized surfaces. This pan is much like their other non-stick pans in that it works very well for a non-stick coating. This wok otherwise disperses heat well and feels solid while cooking. Cleans up very fast. Highly recommended.
