Keep the original shape. I work in front of the computer almost all day, and this cushion is of high quality, I haven't found any problems.

What is the maximum weight of user this cushion can support?

I don't know! But if you were considering it for a very heavy person you also need to bear in mind the cushions dimensions as it is sculptured for a fairly regular Botton size.

I like to sit on the floor, but it gets uncomfortable after a while - do you think this would do the job (avoid the need for a large, floor cushion)?

Absolutely this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. So very comfortable. I would recommend you get one. I'm on my third one because I leave them on aeroplanes and restaurants

The image shown is different to the product I purchased, so Can only give you the size of my cushion. 44cm wide x 42cm from back to front and it varies in depth from 13cm at the back to 75cm at front. Which can fit any chair including car seat.
