1 Piece Water Pump Strainer 3/8 ID Hose Barb with Mesh Filter Screen

I use this in line on my commercial spray tanks. It's caught all kinds of junk and saved me hundreds in pumps and nozzles. Well worth the cost.

I purchased a used laser cutting machine that had some old water lines in it. When I turned on the chiller, excited to run the machine with a new tube I found out there was gunk in the lines and it was filling up my new tube! I replaced all of the lines, flushed my chilled several times, and installed this filter to catch any debris leftover in the system. It has worked amazingly! Hardly no restriction to flow, and super easy to clean the strainer.

I am using two of these for an automated hydroponic feed and drain system as input filters for my diaphragm pumps. Diaphragm pumps are easily damaged by particles, I know from experience and having to rebuild my first a couple of times. After one month, I have had zero issues and they are much less restrictive than the original ones I made using pvc fittings and a hose washer screen. Also, no issues with any leakage. I will update to 5 stars once they need cleaning if I am successful as I am worried that I will damage the plastic housing they are on so tightly.

I bought these for my lawn sprayer that I pull behind the tractor. They work flawlessly and are easy to clean and installation is easy and the price is reasonable. Great Quality so far just remember to hand tighten. They fit my hose going to the tank perfectly. Just remember to look at the arrow on the filter. I have read people have been drilling them out but if you can blow thru it don’t drill it out otherwise you won’t be filtering anything. I tried to show how it works in the pictures but unless you have it in your hand and really look at it. I push lightly turning counter clockwise till I hear it click then I turn it clockwise to tighten. This keeps it from being crossed threaded and leaking. Enjoy it it really works if you just follow what I have experienced.

I’m using the filter for my hydroponic solution right after the pump. It has worked very well, keeping the nozzles clean and free of obstruction. One thing to keep in mind is that the half inch irrigation pipe fits too loose where I had to put electric tape to fatten the end of the filter connector so I could could prevent it from leaking. It’s not a flaw but an application concern so I gave five stars.

The materials feel very cheap, and I wasn’t confident using them. They don’t seem durable enough for long-term use. I expected much better quality.

Only needed the clear part and filter for my Edic Extractor. Perfect for it and saved me 30 dollars by using this.

As stated by others, this filter is sold as 3/8", but it measures 0.492" on the outside of the barb fitting where the hose slips on. The filter itself is more than suitable to filter the cooling fluid on my lathe and milling machines, but be prepared to use 1/2"hose to fit it in place.

These are very poor quality, ordered 2 both bowls are cross threaded and don’t seal, the barbs are barely drilled out maybe a 1/8 hole. Would not recommend this product. Will be returning for a refund
