how do i determine what size to purchase

Plug size is standard, according to your home amplifier and speaker equipment distance you should choose cable length! The single root is 1.5 m (4.9 ft), 3 m (9.8 ft) and 5 m (16.4 ft) in length, hopefully helpful to you!

Are the connectors soldered to the wire?

The connectors are the double screw (Allen key) banana plugs. They appear to be good quality construction and gold plated.

How flexible are these cables?

The cable is not very flexible, but the durability of this cable is much better than that of the flexible cable. The copper wire is oxygen-free pure copper, nor is it a low-end product made of copper-clad aluminum. The sound quality is completely different, and there is no problem in meeting daily use. Each rt/left pair is joined together with about 3-4” separation at the end. The can be pulled apart to separate each wire if so desired.
