I purchased this kettle because my boyfriend who is from the UK is coming to visit and was appalled at the idea of microwaving water for his tea. Silly Americans, right? Right out of the box I was happy with my purchase. It felt sturdy, soundly built, wasn't too big, and the chrome and black were very appealing. I couldn't wait to get home to test it out.After testing it I was even more so sold on the product. The blue LED lights are gorgeous, and its capacity is perfect for family use. It heated the water to a rapid boil in roughly 5 minutes and the auto shut off kicked in after another 30 seconds or so. Now, I'm really bad about just wandering off and forgetting I was making tea, so if you watch it, the water is hot enough for tea or other means in even less time; 3.5 to 4 minutes.The only complaint I can say I have (and its not even something I'd fuss over) was that there was a small spot on the top that looked like rust, but it could have just as easily been from the manufacturing process. It didn't affect the function of the product and I'm sure if I was more bothered by it I could buff it out.Even chatting with the sellers of the product to give review was phenomenal. Super friendly, personal, and a great help.10/10 would reccomend.

Reliable, durable, pretty and efficient. Hard water people need to boil vinegar in it once a week to remove sediment which you can easily keep an eye on because it's clear glass.No issues, no complaints a definite buy.UPDATE MAY 15, 2017 : TEAPOT FOUND DEAD!!!This used to be 5 star review. Todah the plastic lid hinge parts and other parts were found floating in my tea. Looked at it and realized the inside of the lid had been crumbling for some time. So, yeah, I'd been drinking crumbled plastic for who knows how many weeks.On my 3rd try gor electric kettle, fifth if you include the ones I've bought for my mom. Here's the run down:plastic will disintergrate after 6 months of 3x a day daily use.stainless will rust in about the same time.there is no brand that these facts aren't true of.glass holds up, but alas, plastic lids also crumble.you cannot buy your way away from these facts at any price point.A 100% glass design would solve these problems, but that would require something like Corning glassware technology applied to making the lid. Making something that lasts a lifetime is a bad business decision, so don't expect to see anything like that soon.They could also make the stainless part of the stainless steel thickerj mom has Revere ward from the 70s that's still going strong, but realize from a company's point of view that's like saying " some old lady still has pots from the seventies she's using..." as the boardroom members look down into their laps, shaking their heads, frowns all around.....Not sure whag my next movd is. Today, it's buy another glass one and throw it away after 3 months, just to be safe.

Not bad at all, functionally. Visually, it's stunning and beautiful to be able to watch the clean water boil and bubble through the bright and pleasant blue lighting of the pot. My old electric kettle needed to be drained every time I wasn't using it because for some reason, every other use (or so), it would leak out a bunch of the water left inside of the pot and I'd wake up to a mess on the counter and floors. Yes, it's just water, but a leaky kettle is not something I want to have to think about every time I leave the house (It's a kettle made by Aroma). This one, so far, works like and I'd recommend for all homes. It's quick to heat water, and it is really neat and beautiful/soothing to watch.

Started leaking after 6 weeks. Returned for full refund

It is more than two weeks since I bought this kettle. It has a sturdy handle and a metal spout instead of plastic. I use it many times during the day. It boils water at a good speed. I love the led lights and it looks beautiful. I haven't seen any discoloration so far. It is spotless.I think this is my best tea kettle yet. I paid full price and bought it. Highly recommend this product.

I like the LED, the capacity, and how quickly the water boils. However, the latch began to deteriorate after a short time. Has anyone else had issues with their lid breaking? Mine's been awesome until a few months ago and then the lid / latch broke. Not the best craftsmanship and was seriously hoping for a little more. Do they offer replacement parts for a decent price?
