Works Well Looks Great
I wasn't sure about the light feature but, it looks great at night. The pump died on my courtyard fountain. So happy I found this replacement. Pump has plenty of power using at about half flow for 3 tier fountain. The light attaches to pump just above the power cord. The light cord is about 2 ft long so I can run up to top tier. The photos do not do the light justice, almost looks like fire at night. I've decided to order another so if this one dies I have a back up. Recommend for small fountains.

It's ok for an inexpensive pump
For a low-wattage pump, it seems to work ok. I'm using it for a very small pond. Need to keep the intake clean because any little bit of slime or a leaf will greatly reduce the pump pressure. The extensions and fountain heads are a terrible design though. It's like a puzzle. All pieces have different size openings so it's ridiculously hard to find the right combination for the right height. The engineer who designed this either failed out of school or is a masochist. But, for an inexpensive, small pump, I can't complain too much.

Nice little pump for a small pond
The media could not be loaded. Okay, I've had this pump in my pond for about a year (though I take it out in the winter months). It's done pretty good for the money. It doesn't really have a filter on it, however, so I had immediate problems with clogging. This can be solved with a filter bag you can purchase on amazon for about $10. You pop the pump into the filter bag and use the string to cinch it up around the pipe and it works fine, though the bag will probably need to be cleaned about once a week depending how dirty the pond is and how much you run the pump. I have multiple bags so I can sit down and clean them all at once in a 1/2 hour session a few times during the summer. The pump comes with a couple of heads. I used the mushroom one for a while, but recently just removed it and let the water just gurgle out the top. This actually makes the lights useful in the evening. With the mushroom head the water was never illuminated, but when you just let it gurgle out the pipe, the water is lit up by the lights. The pump comes with suction cups on the bottom to hold it up, but this really isn't very useful in a pond situation, so I removed them and then used silicon glue to attach the pump to one of those saucers that sits below a ceramic pot. The saucer is heavy and wide, and keeps the pump from tipping over in the wind. The saucer and pump still sit within the filter bag without a problem.UPDATE - It's 2022 and this is the fourth year this pump has been running without a problem. I usually have it in the pond from May till November running 8 hours a day, which is enough to keep the pond clean.

Junk
I had this pump in my fountain for 3 weeks and it completely stopped working. It's not clogged or damaged, the motor just stopped. Of course, it's right outside the return window...so I guess they got me there.UPDATE: IM UPDATING FROM 1 STAR TO 3 BECAUSE THE SELLER DID ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE SITUATION RIGHT WITH ANOTHER PUMP, BUT I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT FROM A DIFFERENT RETAILER.

Very difficult to figure out how to assemble extension tubes and spray nozzles.
I ended up just putting a short adapter on the pump and the LED ring loosely over that.Has plenty of power and wide flow adjustment range.Kind of looks like a drinking fountain bubbler the way I set it up.Flow can be adjusted from an inch or so arch, to all the way to spraying the water out of the birdbath! Will need to evaluate performance again following a very cold night. (works well in cold)My birdbath seems a bit shallow for this, as even with it filled to the brim pump still sucks in air.Clogged about 2 months after purchase. Can't figure out how to open to clean. This could be a serious issue in winter (which has not yet ended). It also aspirates quite a bit of air in my birdbath, causing erratic operation and gulping sounds. On the 2nd one I bought I got an extension tube and the mushroom spray nozzle assembled, but the parts really felt much too tight or much too loose. Have to test.Doesn't produce anything like a mushroom shaped spray, all water goes in a small "petal" shape in one direction or only trickles down the sides of the nozzle. When adjusting tighter, the extension tube telescopes causing most of the water to spray out of the birdbath. When adjusting looser, the water all trickles down the sides of the nozzle with no spray. Self loosens during operation, no stable setting of the nozzle.Lowered my rating from 3 star to 2 star.Lowered my rating from 2 star to 1 star, when 2nd pump also clogged less than a week after setup and couldn't figure out how to open and clean either of them.

Perfect for a Small Water Feature
We absolutely love the way this little water pump has created a nice water feature in our screened in porch. If you are looking for a quick and easy way to add the calm, soothing sound of water this is it. The multicolor LED lights add another dimension to the overall atmosphere and calming effect, especially at night. The pump is extremely reasonable priced, it is simple to assemble and has plenty of power to provide that picture perfect water dome. The set comes complete with a variety of fountain heads as well as multiple lengths of pipe to accommodate most desired heights. Our setup was extremely simple. It is comprised of a plastic planter that looks like half of a whisky barrel, the pump and a bag of large river rock. It doesn’t get much easier than that.

Nothing fits
Ordered this last summer, and had good luck with it; however, when I went to turn it on this summer, it did not work so I ordered a new one. Make that I’ve ordered three more because each kit I get, the pieces do not fit in the others. The mushroom head and blossom heads are different in each kit and the most recent kit I got instead of having the seven pieces shown in the pamphlet, I have 10. None of them fit within the other to make it usable. It’s like they just grab Parts from a bin and hope they work.UPDATED: After finally receiving one that had all of its parts, it works fine… For about 4 1/2 months. As long as you don’t mind replacing this three times a year, this pump is OK.
