It is 37 inch wide, 6 inch arch in open state.

Is it easier to open than a typical one-hand operation umbrella? I have severe RA and want a super-easy-to-press button!

It is easy to open. A little harder to close. But it's very hard to fold it back to the initial state. You have to use both hands and force. Otherwise, the umbrella is very nice and gives good shade.
