Works amazingly well if you practice
Initially I thought this multi tester was unreliable. Turns out I was the weak link. After reading other reviews and watching the product videos, I realized I wasn’t putting adequate pressure on the stone. After being mindful of the stone cleanliness, probe angle, and pressure, I’m identifying stones with precision. This is a prograde device which does require practice and patience. I’m extremely happy with the purchase.

Disappointing Performance and Accuracy
The Diamond Tester falls short in several key areas, making it a less reliable choice for those needing accurate gemstone assessments. Its performance is inconsistent, often failing to distinguish between diamonds and simulants effectively. This can lead to confusion and potential errors, especially when assessing valuable or delicate stones. The build quality is also lacking, with a flimsy design that feels less durable than expected. Frequent calibration issues can result in unreliable readings, requiring constant adjustments to maintain accuracy. The user interface is not as intuitive as one would hope, making the testing process more cumbersome than necessary. Additionally, the display is small and hard to read, which can be frustrating during detailed examinations. The overall functionality does not justify the investment, particularly when compared to other more reliable and accurate testers on the market. Customer support is reportedly slow to respond, which is a drawback if issues arise. For those serious about gemstone testing, it’s worth considering alternatives that offer better reliability and accuracy. Overall, the Diamond Tester fails to deliver on its promises, making it a less advisable choice for enthusiasts and professionals alike.

Diamond Tester
This review is based on using it for a day. I will probably get better at it when I start using it more often. I use it to test loose stones and also jewelry. It work well, but you can get false readings especially on small stones. It also it difficult to use on stone cuts where there it not much of the flat area. It works well for identifying glass and diamond. I will probably buy another tester that can be used for identifying other stones like Garnet, Topaz, etc.

Very accurate tester. All my moissanite jewelry came up as moissanite. All my diamond jewelry came up as diamond. Does the job. 5/5

Lasted less than a year - disappointed!
Accurate BUT doesn’t last long - at this price point, I should’ve gotten years out of this tool. However, in less than a year of use, the “ready” light just blinks and it never officially turns on. Very disappointing for the $220+ price point. When it did work, it was great. It was easy to use and very easy to carry around with you. I just fully expected it to last longer.

Presidium multi tester 3 - junk
Horrible, I must have a bad unit. Bought in January and we haven't had to use it much till this last month. It reads certified GIA and IGI diamonds as both diamond and moissanite. Useless. Maybe Inhave a defective one but don't chance it.

Works well, though priced high in my opinion.
Works as advertised. Also checks the crystals on my watches, showing if they are mineral glass or sapphire. Great little gadget to have.
