To Sir, with Love [Layne, Lauren] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. To Sir, with Love Review: Witty, sexy, a pleasure to read! - This story had me the beginning. Gracie’s family and friends are wonderful characters and Sir and Sebastian are what I love in a good H. I downloaded this book a couple of months ago and have been wanting to read it. Saturday I finally did and I could not put it down! I kept thinking about the character and how charming everyone is including Cannoli the cat. The love story is sweet, sexy, and adorable. The texts between Sir and Gracie are great not too long but it gives you all the feels of flirting in a fun way. Gracie and Sebastian are sexy attractive and you can feel the tension. Their encounters are always tense but there are also great moments, the cooking class was a hoot. This is how romantic comedy writing should be done light, fun, but with a great story with character development. Highly, highly recommend this book! Would give it 100 starts is possible. Review: gives you those awe moments - To Sir, with Love is such a cute unique meet cute read. I got a lot of those awe moments while reading this one. I love Gracie's spirit and spunk. Her family means everything and you will just love how she tries her hardest to hold onto it. You feel the love and passion throughout this one when it comes to Gracie and her fairytale love. Sebastian at first it was hard to get a feel on him. But as everything begin to unfold you are so drawn to him. You are pulled in every time Gracie and Sebastian have a run in. There are so many sweet moments that you are just going to fall in love with. I fell hard for Sebastian and Gracie. I could not get enough of this one. Go one click now.

This destroyed me!
In all the best ways. Now I usually like my romance pretty spicy, so I don’t read a lot of this author, but the plot caught my eye, and I love a good enemies to lovers. The writing is exquisite the characters damn near perfect, and the emotions strong. I’m pretty sure I cried through most of the book, but all in a good way if you’re looking for a top notch romance, even without the spice, it’s totally worth it.

Fine but not as good as You've Got Mail
I've read this book twice now--once when I picked it up for fun and once as part of a book club. I have several friends that LOVE this book, but for me, it is just an okay read. If my book club hadn't picked it, I would not have read it a second time. I love You've Got Mail and the original The Shop Around the Corner, and to me, this pales in comparison to those two. There are some cute interactions between Gracie and Sebastian, and the messages on the dating app are cute tie-ins to the chapters. However, Gracie has many childish moments and reactions, and while she later admits to and apologizes for her childish behavior, her actions and reactions make it more difficult for me to find her endearing. Overall, the book is missing a wow factor for me. At a glance: - Single POV (with the exception of the messages in the app) - Epistolary - Enemies-to-lovers / strangers-to-lovers - Kissing only - New York City Content warning: deceased parents, familial obligations

DELIGHTFUL AND CHARMING CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE
This romance is glamorous being set in Manhattan NYC and Gracie Cooper owns and runs a champagne shop that is barely breaking a profit. Enter Sebastian Andrews an aqua eyed handsome real estate businessman who wants to buy her lease out. Thus, begins the waltz of attraction and conflicted feelings. He's supposed to be a villain but he is kind, smart and devastatingly dashing. Meanwhile, Gracie is carrying on a texting relationship with a dating app friend known only as Sir and Gracie is known to Sir only as Lady. Two hearts come together (which hearts?) and this is a visceral romp of a romance that doesn't disappoint. Lauren Layne kept me turning pages all weekend. Read this romance in 2 days a satisfying read. KUDOS!

You've Got Mail Fans...This Is For You!
This book is definitely a strong "You've Got Mail" vibe, but substitute a champagne shop for the book store. The good news is... I LOVE that movie, so I enjoyed this book! Gracie and Sebastian (in person) and Lady and Sir(via dating app) have such a great chemistry. I love the two sides of their personalities coming together and the swoony feeling as they realize the connection they've unknowingly been creating online. This quick read will put a smile on your face.

Don’t cry shopgirl…
I loved this story! When buying, I read 2-3 blip comments and they mentioned, “You’ve Got Mail”. The entire time reading, I wondered if it was their opinion swaying me or if the story really was. Then to read the author’s closing. The app of Sir and Lady back and forth, I kept hearing Meg and Tom’s voices. I saw the movie when it came out and have watched it a slew of times. I enjoyed this book. More I believe. I cried/watery eyes twice. The other characters were great too! I adored Sebastian and Gracie. Definitely worth another read! …leave the gun, take the cannoli.

Isn’t Romantic …
A fairytale come to life. So very gosh darn sweet …a very sloooowww burn but no heat, no steam however a HEA set in Disney dreams. A departure from my usual reads but a good read that kept me invested. The reveal was very swoon worthy!

An adaptation of the hit rom-com by Nora Ephron, You’ve Got Mail, To Sir with Love is the story of Gracie. Gracie manages her family wine business and has put her dreams of being an artist on the back-burner. The wine business is struggling and Gracie is trying her best. Her only respite in life? The art that she makes and sells at her wine shop and Sir, a charming man she has met on a dating app but doesn’t know who he is. Gracie’s life would’ve gone on the same way if it wasnt for Sebastian Andrews, a real estate scion who wants to buy out her shop. Nostalgic about the shop her parents built, Gracie does everything she can to save it. She hates Sebastian and would do anything to get rid of him. But what will happen when she realises that Sebastian is Sir. Classic enemies to lovers trope. Gracie and Sebastian are very likeable characters. If you’ve enjoyed the movie, you will really enjoy this book. There is a lot more to Gracie’s character in the book as opposed to Kathleen’s in the movie. Gracie has a fully fleshed life in terms of family, friends and interests. She’s kind, funny and empathetic while at first Sebastian comes across as aloof (because we see him through Gracie’s eyes), but he’s actually a kind and considerate person too. My favourite part of the book is how the writer has been able to keep the whole ‘anonymous online’ equation so believable in the 2020s, considering its far more difficult now to not know who you’re talking to, as opposed to the 90s when You’ve Got Mail came out. I can totally believe that somewhere out there someone would create an app where you’re not allowed to post your picture and instead have to put up a digital avatar. Total 5 star read especially if you love the movie. It’s not deep or philosophical but it is charming enough to hook you to a chair for a couple of hours.

“My dear lady, you stole my heart twice. If you think I’m letting another second of my life pass without you in it, I’ll have to miss you again to set you straight.” To Sir With Love is a witty, laugh-out- loud, swoon worthy story that captured my heart. It was filled with delicious food, bubbly champagne, beautiful art and talk of fairytales. The story had me smiling from beginning to end. It was the perfect short, light, adorable read that I was looking for, I literally read it in one sitting. I absolutely loved the main and side characters. The family relationships were so incredibly sweet, I loved their development through out the book. 💫Read if you like •You’ve got mail •Enemies to lovers •Cinderella •Fairy tales •Best friend and siblings witty banter •NYC setting •Dating apps •Frank Sinatra “Put in Big Bang, finish your masterpiece and then do the big bang, even if it’s virtually.
