Pertronix1142 Ignitor Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit, Compatible with Delco 4 Cylinder

I had bought one and installed on my M Farmall. started right up and continued to start right up for two weeks. out in the field and down. was not sure if a ballast was the problem and was sending to much juice thru. installed ballast and the same thing and again out in the field down. went to points system and still continues to run fine. so now I have two on my desk that are junk and down 200.00. have been looking for another system (electronic) that would work and install easy.

I love the pertronix kits and have used them several times before. However this one came with eyelets already crimped and cut off. Unfortunately the tractor is some time out from being in the shop but I was getting all the parts before the conversation ahead of time. Now I get to wait to put a used pertronix kit on my tractor (at a new kits cost) and hope it works. Very disappointed and will get my kits elsewhere from now on.

Have installed many of these over the years, have never had a problem with any of them. Some have been in use upto 15 years.

Tractors spend a lot of time out in the weather and elements, but when you need it you don't want to spend a lot of time tuning up the ignition just to get it started and running correctly. This product and high voltage coil were just the the right solution! I only wish that I had purchased this earlier so that I could have started enjoying my antique Oliver 550 tractor earlier.

Perfect fit. Although I have not had a chance to get it running yet.

Easy Installation. Engine starts and runs much better now; also added the flame thrower coil
