After several calls to the Lifan technical support my issues were solved. The oil sensor is very sensitive. Too much Oil and the engine shuts down. So, half the oil amount recommended per Lifan, and disconnecting the oil sensor, and doing opposite of the choke sticker, the engine works great for my daughters go kart. But, way to much work and a really sore shoulder to get this engine working.

Why my grandson broke the crankshaft in his go cart engine, I went to the maker of the go cart but they couldn't get the engine due to pandemic, so I jumped on the internet with the block number and this egine came up and it was half the price and a direct bolt .. and hes been running wide open every since!

Darn spark plug wire FELL APART. I restore classic and antique cars for a LIVING. I know what quality and bang for $ looks like and I can positively say RUN AWAY!. Expecially if your wanting to do a go cart build, the damn gov will lock out rpm so fast don’t mater if your using a clutch or belts. YOU AINT GOING NO WHERE WITH THIS POS

Thought motor would be easy match for my old Briggs, mounting hole completely different , had to break out my drill press and make new mounting plate, after a couple of hours was ready to start my new engine, it started on first pull was very surprised. It run very well until I went to try it out on my edger every time I moved it , it would die so I called customer service they told me the problem with edgers when tilted the low oil switch shuts down the motor, I was advised to disconnect wire. My little motor now runs great ! If you don't mind some modifications to your base plate the motor is great and customer service was very helpful, that's why the lower rating , but I would buy again

Just letting anyone looking to covert electric to gas on a Monter moto or baja doodle bug. The 79cc will fit right on it. just put name brand oil in it an d break the engine in before riding it. the engine haves a long life of you take care of it.

For a mini bike. Has throttle return spring and a kill switch, essential features I like!

Have one of these on a sprayer we purchased two years ago. Engine still runs fine, although the recoil (rope pull) starter assembly broke over 6 months ago and I now start it by wrapping the starter rope around the hub of the cooling fan, where the starter normally engages. I have had a replacement recoil starter on order ($45) with their authorized distributor since the week after the assembly broke. Local mower companies won't even look at it. Even sent them pictures because they wanted to verify which of the designs our motor had. Just placed my 6th or 7th reminder phone call with them this morning.

This did not run out of the box. The inner packing was smashed up and it had been in turn packed in another box which showed no sign of damage - all the mishandling must have happened between manufacture and final shipping. 2 stars because it *did* run after I had mechanic adjust the carb. Only two stars because the oil sensor (or something) makes the engine shut down if it bounces around at all. Don't buy this for a go cart or rototiller.

No spark issue on motor only recieved half my money back, never used it.
