Die guten Eigenschaften zur Rasurvorbereitung kann ich bestätigen. Sie lässt sich mit dem Pinsel sehr gut aufschäumen und weicht die Barthaare schnell ein. Der Schaum zerfällt aber so schnell, wie bei jeder normalen Seife. Beim Duschen und Händewaschen macht sie einen angenehmen Eindruck auf mich. Sie „ölt“ aber weniger, als Aleppo-Seife, eher nur so viel wie für die Haut nötig ist und scheint mehr für die Reinigungswirkung optimiert zu sein, als für die gleichzeitige Pflege. Beim Haarewaschen schäumt sie sehr gut. Ich habe die Haare hinterher nochmal mit etwas Shampoo gewaschen, weil sie sich stellenweise etwas rau anfühlten. Bei den Inhaltsstoffen (Bild) steht weiter hinten was von Palmöl und Glycerin, was für eine Kernseife völlig in Ordnung ist. Die Rezeptur ergibt jedenfalls eine anständige Seife, die dezent nach (Zitrone?) Omas Waschküche duftet. Auf der Haut bleibt nur ein sehr harmloser Hauch des Duftes. Man sollte keinen Ersatz für eine Aleppo-Seife erwarten, das schafft am ehesten noch eine Savon de Marseille. Vom allgemeinen Wohlbefinden nach der Verwendung her betrachtet, will ich sie wieder kaufen. Es muss ja nicht jeden Tag hochpreisige Seife sein, wenn man sich mit der Alternative genauso gepflegt fühlt.

I had been looking for this natural olive oil soap for a long time. When I go to Turkey I bring back a kg or so in my luggage but not more than that. Thankfully I found it here on amazon. What makes this soap different? First of all its main ingredient is derived from olive oil, not from cows and pigs (sodium tallowate). Expired rotten pieces of meat get boiled and you get your shampoos and soaps. Almost each and every brand now. Not this one. It is good for skin and hair, it does not dry your skin, it keeps skin`s oil - ph levels in balance while cleaning. It has the natural smell of olive oil. No artificial perfumes. It is priced right, around 4 dollars for a kg of fine soap. 2.2 pounds. 5 bars.

I used the Marseille olive oil soap for years. It's very good for dry skin, and doesn't sting as much as ordinary soap if it gets in your eyes. I used other kinds of olive oil soap from time to time, just to try them. I found them either too oily and not soapy enough, or too hard and non-lathering like a block of soda or something. Either way, I thought they wouldn't kill many germs. This is the first soap that is remotely like my "benchmark" Marseille soap. It produces a really good lather, and, I bought it at a great price! It's got a scent, a bit like you've been to the hamam. I find that quite acceptable though.

Ho acquistato questo sapone per curiosità e sono rimasto molto deluso. Prima cosa la descrizione parla di 1000gr invece sulla confezione c'è scritto 900gr, pesando la confezione, effettivamente pesa 870gr compresa la plastica di imballo.Seconda cosa le 5 saponette hanno un unico imballo (non sono confezionate separatamente), cosa strana alcune sono verdi, altre bianche altre ancora metà verde metà bianca. Terza cosa la più importante è la "profumazione" il sapone emana un cattivo odore, un mix di olio rancido e gomma bruciata, per quel poco che le ho usate sembrano anche seccare la pelle. Detto questo non mi sento assolutamente di consigliarle.
