I had a retinal detachment many years ago and I am 55 years old. My eye surgeon told me I did not need this vitamin until macular degeneration actually already started in my eyes. He told me this vitamin is very effective... yet it is not effective until AFTER your Macular degeneration already started. So please consult your eye doctor first because apperantly this will not work as a preventative measure. But my doctor said it certainly is effective once the disease starts. So I think its important to still have this in your cupboard. And I cant see why it wouldn't work as a preventative move as well... it can't hurt. The chewable version is delicious!

I've ordered this product 4 times. The 1st time the bottle arrived with most of the capsules having "exploded", leaving an oily orange liquid mess. I contacted Amazon, and immediately a new package was sent with no returns or extra charges. The past 3 times the capsules have been perfect and not expired.

As I'm taking these for dry AMD, per order of my ophthalmologist, I'm very happy that the added multivitamins nicely replace the daily multivitamin I had to stop. These keep me just as well and energetic.

Great vitamins

I picked up PreserVision AREDS 2 + Multivitamin after my eye doctor suggested it, and so far I’m happy with it. The softgels are easy to swallow, and I haven’t had any issues as long as I take them with food. Been taking them twice a day for 2 months without any vision change at all. The 1 star is for the other commonly available ingredients these capsule contain

Having read the review and 1st time buying to try out the product, hopefully it does help on AMD. As usual, Amazon delivered on time in good condition. Have started taken it for about 2 weeks and really does not feel or notice much difference at this stage. Will continue taking and hopefully it can sustain my condition and not getting any worse.
