Does can come with a lid?

It should come with a lid. Both Lowe's & Home Depot sell it for same price WITH A LID so Amazon should also supply a lid.,

Is this trash can shipped in a box? I would prefer a clean non UPS/USPS abused can to store my RO water. Thanks.

Yes. Mine came in a large brown box via UPS with some long cardboard paper packed inside so it didn't move around too much.

Thank you for choosing Rubbermaid Commercial. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality and service. The FG263273BLUE Brute Recycling Container with Venting Channels is able to hold water as the base does not have any holes.

How does it stand up to long duration freezing temps?

Mine has stood up well to freezing temperatures in Utah, although the temperature rarely gets below zero.
