This book is interesting to those who have travelled widely especially if you have been where Michael has been. But note the book is only black and white and very few pictures.

This is a great book for those who are well traveled And those who are thinking of doing some globetrotting themselves! Author Clinton is able to in words capture the allure of many far flung places.

I am a lifelong travel enthusiast and travel professional. I ordered this book with great anticipation based on reviews and its description. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. It has no useful or inspirational information, and it is narcissistic to the point of being comical (when not annoying) . Some of it is venal, such as the part about bribing. It is written from the perspective of the elitist, entitled traveler, which is the absolute worst way to approach travel. My copy was a used copy with a personal inscription to an apparent friend of the author's - the fact that the friend dumped it should have been a tip-off. The author is apparently an accomplished photographer and this was a first foray into writing.

If you love travel, this is a must read. He inspires me to want to travel to different places and provides tips to make the travel even more rewarding.
