I bought one of these a year ago because mice were coming from my cellar into a kitchen cupboard and the gap was too big to fill. I pointed the device at the gap and I didn’t have a single mouse all winter. When I changed the battery in the summer it no longer worked so because it had been so effective I bought another. Since then I’ve discovered I’d put the batteries in wrong so now have two whichever is no bad thing. 👍🏻

Doesn’t scare the rats away they walked in front of it

Neat can be used indoors or out. Can be fixed to a wall or hung from the roof or just placed on the ground.Takes 6 AAA batteries, supplied, bit fiddley to get the cover off, I ended up having to use a little brute force and was scared I'd break something. You have to undo 6 small screws with an odd, very small screw driver, best to get a proper one and use that. The you have to leaver off the cover but there is no recess in the case to get a purchase. I ended up using a thin bladed knife, but gently......Once positioned, I placed mine about two feet off the ground, just switch on and every 30 seconds a red light comes on to tell you the sound has activated. I tried to see if I could hear anything, I couldn't :-)I got this becasue either rats mice or both had got into my fishing shed and damanged 3 large, expensive fishing bags as well as a pole bag.From what I could tell they had tunneled in through the rear of the shed and were frequent visitors, judging by the droppings. Since placing this in there a week or so ago no sign of anything vermin like. I'll keep checking and will up date this review on both effacacy and longivity of the batteries. Oh, it seems a very well made bit of kit if a little on the expensive side - nothing compared to the bags I've had to replace, £300 worth grrrr.

Nice compact little unit.Goes off every 30 seconds or so as not to make the mice or whatever become used to the sound.Batteries supposedly last 3 months, and the affected area is 40square meters apparently.Left it up the loft, will see how its goes over time

If you are considering buying one of these units, I imagine it’s because you are desperate to get rid of rats I know I was.Standard strength rat poison not working?Pest control costs a fortune?Let’s try a sonic device instead!Well here’s my story I bought the device to install in my loft, at first it made no difference and I considered returning it however it does say to give it a month to work so I left it in situ for a month and because the nights were getting warmer the problem went away.Fast forward to this week (February 24) and the problem returns.Out of desperation I figured I’ll try replacing the batteries in the device but now the thing will not even switch on, not even the pretence of a light switching on.I reached out to the seller who points out that the unit is over 12 months old (it is its 13 months it turns out) so they wash their hands of it.FYI they only consider it a manufacturing fault if there’s water ingress inside the battery compartment.So in summaryIt didn’t workIt probably never worked12 months later it won’t even switch onAnd the seller refuses to helpDo yourself a favour and either put the £30 towards professional treatment or shove £30 down the drain, you might as well.Only one star because I cannot leave zero

Despite clearly say the batteries were included sadly they were not in my purchase. This may sound quite a minor point, but I was very disappointed by the amount of time that I wasted trying to get it to work before I thought. Maybe it’s been on the shelf for awhile and the batteries are low. The tiny screws were a difficult thing to undo for someone with arthritis and to my surprise there were no batteries when I managed to open the battery compartment.

I have installed it and waited 6 weeks. I still see eats in my garden. Actually i have seen once a rat eating something right next to this device althoug it was operating!

Hat richtig gut funktioniert. Nach ca einem Monat waren die Schädlinge komplett verschwunden. Es hält auch ein bisschen die Mücken fern. Man höhrt es selbst im Vergleich zu ähnlich Produkten echt kaum. Es stört somit nicht.
