In the Dust of the Rabbi Discovery Guide: Learning to Live as Jesus Lived (6) (That the World May Know)

I am doing this study with my small group. The videos are free on You Tube. I've watched the first one and can't wait to do this study! The book is perfectly divided into three sections with: 1) Questions that go along with the DVD, 2) Small group discussion questions, and 3) Daily readings with questions to go a little deeper. This makes it EASY to customize the study for an individual or group at any level. We are watching the video on Week1 answering the DVD questions after, and then discussing the Small Group Study questions on Week#2, which extends the study out to 10 weeks. The daily study is optional. I would highly recommend this study. The information shared in the video really helps you understand the history and culture of the time period and see the area first hand. The bible study itself is very thorough with great questions that help you learn, dig deeper into the Word, and practically understand the message while applying the lessons to life today.

This book and the accompanying video gives an excellent historic view of how the disciples would have understood their mission and purpose-- The same purpose which is ours as Christ followers today. The author is passionate and knowledgeable about the landscape of Israel and surrounding area. He shows pictures from the Holy Land ruins and explains cultural significance.

I used ths study in my Womens group and it was a great success. Everyone enjoyed the visual journey with Ray and how he tied it all together.

We love these DVDs and used them for our Sunday school class.

A fabulous series and the context Ray provides for the teaching is so valuable in understanding the passages. Great small group lesson series!

I love this study but discovered that it is so in depth that it needs to be given lots of time. Our bible study group decided to add more days to cover what is needed. The video that goes with it is awesome

The content was great. It might be time for Focus on the Family to do an update, however. This looks like it was taped in the early 70's. If you can get around that, the visuals and the information is solid stuff.

I have yet to watch the whole thing, but from what I have seen so far this is very good quality. Very well researched and produced.
