For the cost, this is a great product that is perfect for people who occasionally (2-3 times a year for me) wear a costume.Pros:- Light weight - good for packing on trips- "worn" appearance of old leather- Great looking boots for a pirate costume - I mean really authentic look. I've been complemented on these boots by much better dressed pirates.- I've worn these to 5 pirate events now and they have held up well- Inserted some gel inserts and now they are super comfortable to wear - there's enough room in the foot to do that.- Fit around the foot is as expected, maybe a bit roomy, but certainly not too tightCons:- These are 100% rubber. Imagine wearing rubber boots - your feed don't breath. Your feel will sweat and and get hot in these. You cannot wear these all day, just a few hours. They are comfortable, just hot. Also, they don't look like rubber, so don't thing it's an appearance issue. They look authentic, but the material is not permeable. If you need boots to wear all day, these are not for you.- I don't have large calves but these are tight at the top of the boot around the calf. I have to be very careful when closing the zipper at the top, to not breat the zipper, because it's like fighting an over-stuffed suitcase trying to get the last inch closed around my calf.

Love the styling of these. Side zippers make getting in and out fairly quick and painless. I have not worn them for a full day of RenFest yet, but they are significantly more comfortable than my old pair of costume boots. I'll Update after I give them a proper breakin.Fat Guy Review: I'm a bigger guy (6'2" @ 340lbs), and I have wide feet. My actual foot length should be 11.5 to 12, but I always have to get a size up for the width. These fit comfortably without being too snug or too loose, though I will say a bit more narrow than I was expecting for fitting 12-13 size shoes. if you have VERY wide feet, you may want to really consider this.Also, my old boots had a problem with my bulbous shins/calves; these have the same issue but not as bad. Where as my other boots were designed for 13+ size and didn't zip all the way up, these zip JUST to the top but are about a 1/4-1/2" from the top of the zipper (barely noticeable).I'm very happy with them and they look and feel great for the short period I've worn them. I definitely recommend.

I will start by saying that you will need to order a size up. I wear a size 11 (USA) boot/shoe and I ordered the 12/13 and it was a good fit.I love the look of this boot. It is definitely adds to the look of any pirate costume. The zipper on the side made it very easy to get my foot in and out of the boot, but it is very visible on the side which somewhat detracts from the overall look. The "buckles" are purely cosmetic and can not be used to tighten the fit but the octopus also lends well to the pirate theme.The boot itself seems like it is fairly well made for a costume piece. I will say that the insoles are hard and I would recommend picking up a cushioned pair of insoles, especially if you plan on walking a lot.Overall, this is a decent costume piece without being too pricey but there is definitely some room for improvement. Great boots!, I purchased these for every day wear, and have wore them every day since I got them through the mail. The material does not look like leather, it looks somewhere along the lines of what you would expect whale skin or shark skin to look like and I personally like that about them.I wear a 12.5 in boots so I ordered a Large (12-13) if you are considering buying these do so and you will not regret your choice!And now you're probably wondering the pros and cons right?Pros :- They look fantastic- They're comfortable even after wearing them for 15 hours straight.- Not too rigid, but not too soft either.- The straps can be adjusted for how you like your boots to fit, can be tightened or loosened quite a bit.- Compliment just about every outfit- Easy to walk inCons :- The insoles are a bit slick, but can be corrected by replacing the insoles.

1st of all, i purchase these boots by the rating of other buyers and their reviews of the boots MD the positive % the seller has . At first I was stepical of purchase, but fear no more. The boots I received fit exactly for my feet. Which are 8 to 9 u.s.a and my feet was not normal by means of my bunions being 5 feet 7.2nd the quality of the boots is amazingly well made and how confortable the boots are when it being warned. Light weight and uni dress's for any occasion.3rd is that overall review of these awesome boots from previous buyers and ratings is a winner. I highly suggest your purchase as soon as possible. These boots in the XL size are closer to a size 15, but because they are also pretty wide, you can fill the space with thick boot socks and/or absorbant insoles. Because the vinyl does not breathe, this is an excellent thing!These boots were purchased for a size 13 double-wide foot with no arch, and they fit well with plenty of room (1" of extra boot toe at the end, and plenty of width for the wide foot + thick socks). The totally flat inner footbed is also great, since you can put in an arch-supportive insole, or a flat one if you do poorly with arch supports. The calf is big enough for large and muscular legs, and the shaft is stiff enough that the ankle does not slouch.The inside feels pretty smooth, though unlined. The vinyl is very thick, like real cowhide leather. Instead of being a thin flimsy vinyl with easily-torn top coating, this stuff seems pretty rugged. The buckles look great and not "costumey", and all of the stitching and glue work look as good as any leather boot I've purchased for under $300. The tread on the bottom is subtle looking, but substantial so it doesn't ruin the look of the boot while letting you grip the ground. The zipper is a visible black line, but not glaring.The black color is not black, but clearly charcoal grey. If you need jet black, you will not want these.

These ran a tad in the snug fit side but was a comfortable fit worn all day. They are of imitation leather and I think had I the time I would have shoppped around for something more authentic. However for the money spent I am pleased with the produce. I bought these to wear at the Ohio Renaissance festival. I've included a photo of me in costume. They actually looked better suited after worn for a day and some dust was kicked up on them to dull the shine.

These are perfect. I wear a size 13 in most shoes and boots, ordered the 12-13 and they fit great. I was expecting to have to break them in a bit but nope. They're relatively comfortable and I'm sure I could wear them out to the party and dance all night in them without too much trouble but I'm going to put the insoles from my work boots in them anyway. They're not too clunky and I'll be on cobblestones in the French Quarter so I'm glad they don't feel like costumer shoes. The material feels a little thin but doesn't look it. The zipper could prove to be the weak link; I don't have any problems now but I'm going to try to remember not to unzip them all the way. I've got average calves and I can fit my whole hand easily into the top of the boot while wearing them. They are big enough to comfortably tuck the end of my pants into for the look I wanted. I was a little worried about spending as much on costume shoes as an real pair of shoes but these are worth it. I think I'll be wearing these for years.
