XW Folding Carpet Knife, Razor Blade Heavy Duty Utility Knife with Protective Cap, Extra 5 Blades Included

I used this for cutting carpet and it was absolutely superb. It's shockingly sharp, one of the best medium-duty cutting tools in my arsenal. This outclasses your every day box cutter by an order of magnitude. The blades are essentially razor blades but thicker (can handle much greater lateral stresses without snapping) and while they do - as you'd expect - dull quite quickly under use when cutting carpet you can flip them over to use the second edge before swapping to a new blade. You notice when they dull because they still work - but not quite as effortlessly as at first. There's quite a bit of blade exposed and this thing would take your finger off so easily you'd barely notice; this is a requirement for the job of carpet cutting but; an Adult Tool for sure. Good attention to safety tho; it's solid, it fold-locks well and conceals the blade properly. Great product

This thing is amazing! It is absolutely sharp as heck better. Be careful when using it. You might slice a finger off the way it folds and retracts is amazing. Good quality sturdy works wonderful

The best for carpet cutter

Excellent knife that adds a bit of safety thanks to its ability to fold closed. The locking mechanism is fairly stiff when opening and closing, which should loosen up over time, though mine is still tight. I haven’t added any oil to the pivot yet, and that may be all it needs.The handle and blade holder are heavy-duty and feel very robust. Based on the solid construction, this knife should hold up well and last a long time.

As a single person with cats, I needed to get a very large old wool rug with a thick pile out from under my bed. I could not maneuver it myself whole so ordered this. It made cutting the rug into long strips very easy and I was able, by myself, to get the job done. I was thrilled!

This compact box cutter is very well made, cuts really well and the handle is comfortable to use. I like that it folds up and doesn't take up a lot of room in my toolbox.

This carbon knife is OK. It would be better if it had a belt clip or a pocket clip. Also, I wish you could adjust how much of the blade is exposed. Other than that I mean. It is what it is. Does the job. I would probably choose a different one if I had to choose again.
