Daniel Smith is professional artist-grade paint. Need I say more? It’s a lovely lemon (cool-tone) yellow, sheer and clear, but can be layered or mixed in a thick consistency for more saturation. It rewets easily, and goes on nice and smooth. You get what you pay for!

Perfect Pigment for my Travel Palette
Another perfect Daniel Smith watercolor. This one is a transparent yellow (my others are semi at best) and is in my travel palette where there is only one other yellow (Monte Amiata Natural Sienna by DS). It works hard as my mixing pigment for making many other colors in this travel palette of 12 paints and it does its job perfectly with wonderful glowing results.

Daniel Smith paints are among the best available, no matter what color. I bought Lemon Yellow and it appears brighter than the brand I previously used. Definitely a great brand.

Not sure at first that it was worth the extra money but found it had a higher amount of pigment vs the much cheaper alternatives I have used and wet on wet worked very well.
