Be seen with style
Love everything about the unit! LED’s are super bright, and that means, when I hit my breaks, you see me! Day or night. The unit is super light, waterproofed, and super easy to install. Comes with three foam pieces that sandwich the unit and your trailer hitch. Depending on where the holes for the pin are you may need to remove on or two of the three. Had this same unit before for 5 years, until one day in the rain I back up and didn’t know a boulder was behind me. Still after breaking the lens and several rains, the darn thing worked. Cheapest and safest upgrade. And with a smoked lens, look really good as well.

Difficult installing the 4 pin plug
I installed this on my Dodge Ram 2500 with a factory trailer wiring. The 4 pin connector hangs underneath and the 7 pin is in the bumper. I installed this in the receiver and found that with two of the foam spacers it was loose, and with three, it was way tight and took a lot of pushing in on it to get the holes aligned to get the cross pin in place, and only then with a small mallet. The light could use a couple of half thickness foam spacers to allow for a better fit. Some hitches may not need them, some will, it depends on the hitch hole positioning. The four pin connector has a closer spacing on the pins than my factory Dodge harness, it took several minutes of pushing and shoving (and some dielectric grease) to finally get it plugged up. Other wire connectors I have on adapters and extensions fit the truck just fine. It works, just isn't ideal and took more work than it should, As I will be removing and reinstalling this when I use the receiver hitch, I may splice on a different 4 pin connector. All of the above being said, the light works as it is supposed to, running light and brake light, and is quite bright.EDIT: Aug 26. Now i discover that the light flashes if either direction of the turn signal is activated AND you are standing on the brake. If the brake lights are not activated, the hitch light does NOT flash, but if the brake lights are on, and you operate a turn signal, then it starts flashing, but oddly, not in sync with the regular turn signal light. If you are merely stepping on the brakes, it does give you a good third brake light. I just now have hooked up the high center light in my LEER camper shell, so now I have four lights. All kinda lame as designing circuitry that keeps the light on steady in this brake light on with signal on, situation is easy to fix.Charles

This does NOT fit a 2016 Toyota 4Runner - without some "adjustments"
I used the "does it fit your vehicle" before ordering and it said that it would. It did actually fit in the 2" trailer hitch (OEM installed), however, the cable is to short to plug in to the receptacle - just barely. It would work if the cable came out of the left side of the device (at the 9 o'clock position). Since it can only be securely mounted with the cable coming from the 6 or 12 o'clock positions, the cable is too short to plug in.I decided to give it another try - this time plugging the cable in first, before mounting the light. Another problem - the pins do not line up properly to the receptacle. I had to cut away some of the insulation from the 4th pin, but it still would not fit. Luckily I already had a 4-pin to round connector adapter cable - which I had to use to both get he pins to to connect to the adapter cable, and the make the cable long enough so that I could mount the light in the hitch. I then had to use a zip tie to tie the cables up out of view.Long story in a nutshell - it will work, but not out of the box and without spending additional money - at least for a 2016 Toyota 4Runner

Great braking accessory for an open trailer hitch
Just installed. Seems to work well. The locking pin is plastic, with an old-style cotter pin (yuk). So, I used my own flip-tip, Master-Lock hitch pin. The square plastic shaft has three hole openings, so it should firmly fit any standard hitch. Although the wire comes out at the bottom, there are 3 square, rubber gaskets, which seem to protect it from pressure against the hitch. The wire is more than long enough to reach a built-in wiring harness, if that's what is on your vehicle. The connector is 4-pole (3 male, 1 female), and works well with a 7-to-4 pole wiring adapter, if needed. (Note: other similar products may have a 1 male, 3 female connector, so check carefully. ) The LED lights are very bright with braking. A great feature is that, when braking with the turn signal on, it will also flash. (No flashing otherwise.)This is It's a great eye-catching accessory, to warn the driver behind you... especially a tailgater!

Nunca funcionó con Bronco Sport
Se instaló de acuerdo al manual, pero nunca funcionó con una Bronco Sport, inmediatamente la camioneta notificaba de errores con el remolque, además jamás prendieron los leds
