I struggle with compulsive skin picking and the worst part is the healing process. My skin scars red, and specifically on my cheeks and jawline, the scars usually last about a month. The worst ones are sometimes visible for months and leave my skin with texture from the scarring. Usually it takes about two weeks for a scar to fully lose the scab and become a little lighter, but they still clearly look red - especially in bright natural light. Sometimes it’s also difficult for me to leave the scabs alone and let them heal instead of picking at it even more. Usually when I pick it also causes me to break out even more after, so it becomes a major insecurity until it gets better. Mederma has been a lifesaver for my confidence in my skin, and it shocked me how quickly it works. By far, this is the best treatment I’ve ever tried for fading and healing difficult, deep, red acne scars. I have tested infinite skincare products because I’ve had acne for most of my life, and nothing else has made such a huge difference. I rarely write reviews, if ever, but my results were so impressive I felt that I had to share them. The cream is smooth, absorbs into the skin, layers well with my other skincare, and isn’t too slimy or shiny on the skin. I have combination skin, and I’ve been using the cream primarily overnight, but also a thin layer along with my daytime skincare. I live in Texas and the weather can get so hot that I always sweat off all my moisturizer and end up looking oily, but even with its thick consistency, the cream absorbs well enough that I don’t have to wipe it off. I’ve seen other complaints about the smell, but it isn’t strong whatsoever, and I appreciate that it doesn’t have any fragrances because they usually irritate my sensitive acne prone skin. I got the 1.7 oz jar and I have no complaints about how long it lasts me, and I’ve even been using it much more frequently than necessary. With the results and quality of the product, the size is well worth the price, and cheaper than buying 5 other products just to do the same thing. I truly can’t rave about this product enough, and if you’re considering different scar treatments, this is the one. I’ve included side by side photos of my progress. The before photos were taken on Monday, and today it’s Friday. For only 5 days, I am completely blown away. My skin has never healed so quickly, let alone faded the scar. I will forever be repurchasing.

I started applying it on June 8, and I’m writing this review on June 24 after using it consistently for a little over two weeks. The first thing I noticed is how lightweight the cream is. It’s not thick or greasy, so it’s easy to spread over the affected area without using much product. I also really like the subtle scent—it isn’t overpowering, which makes it pleasant to use before bed. As for the results, I’ve been genuinely happy with the progress. The scar is much less noticeable now than when I first started using the cream. I also noticed that the brown area from the oil burn peeled over time. I’m not entirely sure if that was the scab naturally coming off or part of the scar healing process, but I do feel that this cream helped lighten the area and supported the healing process. I ordered this almost immediately after reading positive reviews because I didn’t want to wait after getting burned, and for me, it was definitely worth it. While everyone’s skin heals differently, my experience has been very positive, and I’m glad I started using it right away.

This is working somewhat after three months. I guess time will tell to see the full effect. Very easy to apply. Depending on the size of the scar, a little bit goes a long way. Recommended by my surgeon and surgeons in general.

About 4 months ago, I broke my nose and got a pretty nasty gash on the bridge of my nose. I used silicon strips to help the skin heal and reduce the scaring. It did the job well, but the skin texture of the scar was still a bit bumpy and rough looking. I started using this cream nightly and the scar started flattening and the skin soften. Most nights I would get too much cream on my finger for the scar, so I started to just apply it to other older scars I have. A burn scar on my arm ( a bit of a keloid) a very old set of scars on my forehead and one acne scar on my nose. I noticed the other day that all my scars are softer, flatter and look smaller. The newest one on the bridge of my nose is only visible because of the still pinkish color. This stuff really works, I am fully committed to using for the full six months they suggest to get fully healed. Finally something to get rid of all my scars.

I don’t know yet if it’s working, but the smell is not good. I have a scar on my nose from skin cancer removal and every time I apply it - yuck…..it smells so bad.

I’ve purchased this cream several times because I really like it. It feels moisturizing without being too greasy, absorbs well, and leaves my skin feeling soft. Have not seen a final result since i have used only a week, but it really helps to fasten healing process. Texture and formula is also good, easy to blend on skin
