The description isn't helpful
Unfortunately when you read the instructions on the packaging it looks as though the recommended application of the product needs serious amounts to make it effective. Several inches high and a circular "collar" of the product is needed. This tub might help with one or 2 plants, but as it needs re-application after rain, a trailer load might be needed for a regular size garden!

Keeps the deer away
This worked great to keep the deer from eating our hostas. I just sprinkled it around the bed of hostas in my front yard. If it rains hard it should be reapplied but we haven’t had a nibble since using it.
