Omega Seamaster Professional 300M 👍
Things to know for watch nerds: • Pictures as shown are an Omega Seamaster Professional 300M on a Zealande rubber strap • Fits bands/straps up to 1.8mm thick (measured by digital calipers) • You’ll need a spring bar tool for installation • Rather than cut off my keepers, I slid them off the narrow end once I had the original buckle/hardware off the strap in case I ever need to switch back • The pin is round and a bit on the small side, so if the holes on your strap are rectangular, this leaves some side to side play, but it’s no big deal as it’s still secure • Finishing is just average - internals are not OEM quality (to be expected). • Brushed finished parts are well done. • Spring bar pin holes are a bit shallow and roughly drilled, but it doesn’t affect function • Comes with a spring bar if you need it. I did, as my buckle normally uses a screw • Operation: everything sits nice and flush, curvature is just right for my 7” wrist, and closure has a decently satisfying “click”. The clasp is small (I like this), but doesn’t open as wide as a butterfly deployant. I can still get my hand in/out easily, but it’s a tighter squeeze if you’re not accustomed to this style of clasp. • Who is this for: this is a good clasp for sport watches/divers, but not a dress watch with a smooth band (butterfly would be better for smooth leather straps so you can retain the keepers to keep it from sliding due to the overlapping design. • Value: this clasp costs more than 10x less than an OEM Omega clasp. I’d say it offers 80% of the value for 10% of the cost - it’s not quite as slick, and is missing the matching Omega logo/branding. • Should work fine for any brand watch. • I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about re: the design being flawed, as I haven’t had any issues whatsoever 🤔

Very high quality deployant clasp
Exactly as advertised, extremely smooth opening and closing. I’m very impressed with the quality of this clasp. I do wish they made a matte black or PVD black which would’ve been a better match with the Breitling it went on, but a Scotch Brite pad took off some of the glossiness which helped a bit.

Keep loving these!
Really enjoy how well these are made, how they look and feel. I put my bands on in reverse fashion, long / holed side on the 12 side with the buckle side on the 6 side, and this buckle sits just perfectly. Gives such a nice look, and I love how I don’t worry about dropping the watch when taking it off. If it slips, there’s a loop around my wrist! Plus I don’t have to worry about wearing out the strap - no longer wrenching on the strap to get it to the correct spot… Now it’s just folding the metal hinge until it clicks. Looks great and super easy! Strong recommend 😊👍🏼

Excellent deployant clasp
I now have 3 of these on various straps--one cordura, one sailcloth, one leather. They are comfortable, secures and releases easily, and there is very little to no wiggle when its engaged. There is a nice, tactile click when you close it, so you know it's locked. I definitely prefer this to a butterfly clasp for ease of use. Since the long end wraps under rather ran above as normal, you don't need the retention loops for the excess strap. I love how clean this makes the strap look, and that its mostly strap touching my wrist rather than the inch of metal of a normal butterfly-style deployant. That said, it works better with my cordura and sailcloth straps than leather. As the long end of the strap actually wraps under the clasp rather than over as it would with a normal clasp or with a butterfly deployant, a slippery leather upper will slide around. If you cut off the retaining loops as I do, it means the tail of the strap will sometimes stick out to one side or the other, which I hadn't anticipated. The cordura and sailcloth straps have a textured finish and 'stick' to the underside of the clasp and strap and keep it from sliding out of place, even when exercising. Even had I kept the sliding retention loop, it would still be a pain to secure the tail as the only time you could loop the tail through is when the clasp is completely engaged. Not ideal. So I wouldn't recommend this clasp for straps with slippery upper finishes. PROS Very good finish/good looking Little to no play when locked Easy to engage Secure Great value CONS Not ideal for shiny/slick leather straps

Solid clasp
Good quality buckle. Decent built. Four stars just because the clasp does not close all the way, meaning it doesn’t stay flushed up against the other side. But you barely notice it. I would still recommend it, it’s very comfortable and a lot better than the butterfly clasps.

Works great and as advertised!
I was a little skeptical purchasing this due to the price and what you can find other places for these types of clasps. Now it it not an Omega quality clasp, but on a regular leather strap it holds its form and does not rattle or show signs of weakness. I also fitted one on a Barton elite rubber strap and it has done very well on that. My only concern, and I feel this is with the function, not design, is that with the longer straps there is excess strap left over that can cause extra bulk on the wrist. I have purchased both the polished and brushed ones in different sizes and have had success with both. If you are not familiar with this style, be advised it can cause some damage to leather when installing due to how you need to place the strap into it. Where you install the side with the holes, you have to bend it a little and it can mar the surface of the leather if you are not careful. Now, if you have an Omega style bracelet without that extra going underneath the other end of the strap, then this would be more ideal. Generally, this is a good overall value and would recommend this to those of us who have many straps and are looking for something different to not break the bank.

Large and uncomfortable
The length of the 20mm clasp is so long that it pushes the watch well off center on the wrist. Very uncomfortable. I tried it on three premium watches. FYI, I also purchased this same clasp in 18mm which fits well, and is worth 4 stars.

Easily opens accidentally
I love the idea and looks these types of clasps, where the tail goes under the buckle. However, at least for the affordable ones like this one I bought, is that they open incredibly easily and accidentally. In my experience They all rely on the same mechanism, whatever the brand style, and that mechanism has three fatal flaws. First unlike the common “butterfly” clasps that have the spring release buttons closest to your wrist, the buttons for these are at the top of the clasp, extending out over the rest of the band and clasp while floating above your wrist several millimeters or 1/8”, which makes them very easy to push accidentally or catch on things like shirt sleeves, mouse pads, desk edges, etc. Second, only you only have to press one of the two buttons to release the clasp. Third, very little force is required to push those buttons, and the latching tabs are extremely small, so they pop open very easily and with hardly any movement. Also, any torque on the band/clasp can pop them, like bending your wrist too much. Result: they pop open accidentally far too often and at worst your watch ends up on the floor. I’ve been through three of these types and won’t buy another
