REEF Men's Sandals Leather Fanning | Bottle Opener Flip Flops for Men

I have purchased reef sandals in black for the past 9 years. Our local store closed so went to my go to Amazon. I wear 11's or 12's depending on what the store stocks and both have worked great. I ordered 12's just to be sure. When I opened them I had my sons look at them because honestly they look like none of the reefs we have around the house even though the last 9 years look incredibly similar. We have purchased 27 pairs not counting my wife's. These are definitely different but was thinking new model year or something. Tried them on and after a few minutes my feet hurt (not a sign or true reefs), and these 12's are way smaller when held up to my 11's. To give you an idea, I love the 12's but the sandal hangs out about 1.5 inches from my heel and 3/4 inches from the 11. On these my heel hangs out. My conclusion these fit like knock off Nikes fit me, terrible. Buy with caution because if these aren't fake, they definitely are sized different. For the record I checked the size on the sandal and they say US 12. My sons are 31 and 27 so older and I share reefs. My younger son wears a 10 which were bigger than these. All in all birthday present for me was wasted.

Bought these on April 6, 2015 and in a year or so the thong strated to peel off. I thought the thong was made of leather but it's made of fabric and they just glued a piece of leather or syntehtic leather to cover it up. This horrible design of gluing it instead of stitching it means that after using it in a beach setting after a while it will start peeling off from the sides and look ugly as hell and will eventually separate. I stitched both leather covers to the thong and they held up no problem. After some months one of my sandals thong completely ripped apart from the insole and it was rendered useless. I really liked the bottle cap opener and I used it a lot for opening beers while I was on the beach but the quality of these sandals are crap. My last pair of sandals were quicksilvers which lasted like 8 or 10 years and I threw them away because they didn't couldn't grip well enough when I walked. I was expecting to get a few years out of these considering they're Reef but I don't think I will be buying this brand again.I do not recommend these to anyone who will be using them a lot.

I usually buy a pair or two of flip flops a year. these have lasted me all summer and still look great. didn't think I would use the bottle opener part of it but I bought them right before a trip to Thailand and had the right tool for the job as they do not use twist top bottles. I now know the only type of flip flop I will be buying from now on.

Have been suffering from severe plantars fasciitis due to being on my feet most of the day. When I would get home I simply wanted to take my shoes off and give my feet a break.But with previous sandles, I was making things worse. These live up to their advertised purpose and have allowed my feet to start healing from the pain. I know it won't happen overnight, but the results I've experienced from only a couple of weeks of use, I feel confident that over time these will help my condition heal completely.Also, bought the Kuro shoes for everyday wear and the combination is definitely the answer to my foot pain.

I've seen a lot of white guys wear these. I was shopping and saw this white dude with a pair and asked him where did he get them from, he said one of those Bass Pro Shops or some store like it and I told him I liked them. I eventually called the Bass Pro Shop or whatever store it was and they wanted this astronomical price and I said hecky-no, that's too much for a sandal...so I eventually checked amazon and there they were, so I purchased them and have been very happy with them. I like them because they lift your arch and there is nothing sexier than a higher arch. Hope the dude at the store didn't think I was being weird. Probably not, he was smiling and kept the conversation going.

I purchased this hoping for a replacement for my old, worn-out pair. Super-comfy but looking rather sad - old pair is all solid black with leather upper, which was a major part of what I was looking for. Opted for black/silver because the description said leather upper, but what I got is synthetic. I guess Reef is, like all other manufacturers of wearables, constantly changing its styles, but it would be awfully nice if their leather-upper line still came with a plain basic black. Sadly, sending these back, as my experience with synthetic uppers, unless the synthetic is a fabric, is that they won't ever conform or comfortably mold to your feet, no matter what.

I rated this 4 stars because with the previous Reef Phantoms I owned (2 pair), I immediately felt the arch support the moment I put them on. I did not feel the same arch support with these flip flops. I'm keeping them but I am disappointed there is less arch support than I've come to expect from a Reef flip flop. This shoe in all other aspects appears to be a well made shoe and may form to my feet to eventually give me that arch support feel. I wear these shoes almost everyday but I'm already shopping for another flip flop to give me that arch support that I love in the Reef Phantoms.
