Would this work for the cold steel trail boss axe?

Yes, exactly what I bought this for. It fits nice and snug on the Trail Boss. You must position it correctly and rock it in. It's pretty decent quality.

3.5 to 4 inches. Easily fits my 3.5-inch height axe edge. A bit of play but snap strap holds it on very well. Does the job of covering head.
