Love!
My daughter loves this! We got one for my son, my daughter wanted one too. As an adult on her own she said she uses it all the time at work, at home, hiking, on the road… so many tools! She carries it with her everywhere. My husband and son do the same. My husband says he uses his almost everyday for so many things. Great gifts, and something you come to depend on.

Like The Original PST, But Better
I finally lost my PST after ~25 years. Since my primary interest was in the pliers, I got one of the lower end models that was closest to the original. This is improved in every way from the original PST. The edges are rounded, so it can be squeezed harder without killing your hand, the opening mechanism is more solid, and the tools are more thoughtfully arranged. Time will tell if it has the same longevity of the original model, but I don't see any defects that would indicate early failure. One of the big problems with the original was some of the tools could collapse in use. The phillip head screwdriver was particularly egregious. Yea, if it's closed, it won't snap shut on your hand, but that's little consolation after slamming your knuckles into the work surface. All the tools /tend/ to stay put in use with the Bond. If one was using the interior tools all the time, it might be a good idea to get one of the models with locking blades, but for occasional use, the Bond is fine. If used as directed, you won't have amputated digits.So... If you liked the Original PST, this is the same thing but better. It's a good tool at a good price. If you think you want something more. I can't help you. Checkout some of the other models. I've always been happy with Leatherman's workmanship. There's a quality Leatherman available for whatever you want to do.

Built solid, but stiff and knife is dangerous to use
The good: This is a quality, sturdy classic Leatherman. Built well and the tools are nice and solid. The weight and form are so much lighter and slimmer than their other models, which is what initially brought me to this. And classic/vintage style. Don’t fix a classic, right? Normally, but in the case…The bad: very stiff. Not just a little, but overly tight. That’s good for the tools to stay in place (non-locking but secure). It’s bad, very bad for the knife blade. Opening the blade takes too much strength and force; very dangerous when you have a razor sharp edge that will slice through your finger if you slip. Lots of force plus sharp blade doesn’t equal anything good for the user. And closing it was equally dangerous. Then imagine being outside and quickly trying to open it in the cold with frozen fingers, or hot sweaty palms.Overall, it’s a shame because it’s a nice slim, classic tool built very well. But the knife is just too dangerous for me. I much prefer the improved “Wave” design for blades that lock. Those open smooth and lock solid. Oh well, I guess some things are best left in the past.

Small enough to pocket carry everyday.
Fantastic, light weight, compact multi tool. Comfortable in the pocket. Really a nice compromise between size and function.

Love this
Love the simplicity of it, and it's a great price for what you get for quality. My father had a very similar one when I was growing up so I had to get it. I use it for sorts of things during my day now because it's light and easy to carry.

Leatherman Bond
I bought it for my collection. It’s ok, but workmanship is not what it was from the early days of Leatherman.I have several early PSTs from the early 90s, I actually like them better. But the Bond is OK.
