Rigid Rigid EPS Foam Lightweight Case for Bass Guitars

I went back and forth between a Gibson hard case or a gig bag, researching all the options (not a lot of case options that form fit for SG style guitars). I found this Gator bag/case at a good price and had a similar style case for my Flying V, which I liked, and was at a good price here on Amazon. I was going to pull the trigger on a Gibson Protector case but decided to give this one a try first and I’m glad I did. This case is solid like a hard case would be but operates like a gig bag (including shoulder straps). The case is well built, very solid (no flex) and very light. Hesitate not..you won’t regret this purchase.

This is a perfect fit for my Taylor 316 CE baritone guitar. It’s very well designed for protection, due to the rigidity of the polyfoam inside, and yet very lightweight! Far superior to a case I ordered and subsequently returned, since it had padding inside, but no rigidity, and thus, lackluster protection.

As so many others have commented, this is an excellent case. It is light, durable and will fill the role of both a gig bag and a hard case. There is ample room for most knick knacks a musician might need: tuner, humidifier, monitor, strings, music, etc. I play an A style mandolin and it fits mine snugly. (Gator says the pack is made for both F and A style, and it is true.)The one small critique I would make is it is a little shallow. I have a Kentucky 272 and there is a fair bit of convexing in the sound body. The case is a little snugger vertically than I would like. But still quite functional. I'd like to see Gator give maybe a quarter inch more play vertically.Still, awesome case and very happy with it.

gibsonのj-200の入るギグバッグが無かったので助かりました。内容はセミハード的なもので非常にしっかりして、その上軽いです。ハードの代わりにこれで機内預けもいけるかな？くらいのしっかり感です。内側はボア仕様で安心です。肩で背負うベルトの結合部分が少し身体と干渉することと生地自体が少し薄いところでマイナス１です。

My case was just delivered today. It's not fully tested but I'm extremely pleased with the quality and fit of this case. It's even better than I thought it would be. It's as solid and well made as any of my other cases (Seagull TRIC, Crossrock, etc.). It's way more solid than I thought a lightweight case would be. It feels just right. The outside zippered pouch is big enough to hold a stack of my lyric sheets and the inside enclosure is big enough for capos,strings, picks, tuners, etc.It fits my APX 700II perfectly. It looks snug as a bug in a rug. If that wasn't enough, I was delighted to find that my Epiphone Hound Dog Dobro fits equally well. Almost like it was made for it. I haven't hopped on my bike yet and went out to my guitar spot, so the straps haven't been tested yet. The APX is a light acoustic but the Hound Dog is as heavy as a solid body electric, so those straps are gonna get tested. I wish the clasps could have been metal instead of plastic, but they still feel solid. I'll revise this review should there be any problems with them, but I'm not really worried about them. If necessary, I'll just replace them with metal ones.It came just sealed in a plastic bag, but arrived in perfect condition with a couple of small, very minor, tears in the plastic bag. Certainly no big deal, but my last Gator hardshell arrived in a card board box. It took nine days to get here, but still arrived sooner than the date expected. Over all,it feels like a win.
