Will a passport fit in any of the sections?

No. The whole wallet is probably a little bit smaller than a passport.

I would want to remove the key chain. Is this possible? easy?

Yes, the chain is easily removed.

Do the cards fall out? I plan on just keeping it in my pocket but think with them rubbing around they'll fall out

Not at all. My teenager keeps in her back pocket and never has lost or had anything fall out .

It looks and feels like real leather.
