How fast is it between pressing the button and the picture getting taken

there is multiple answers . 1 an instant picture is .25 of 1 second ...2 you can delay or increase it to instant 0 delay . This was a much better than the 7 cameras I went and tested at best buy and they were in the 350$ range , that's the only price range that could even come close to compete to the quality and options . This is a win win buy and I am very critical .If I don't like a product ill tell it flat out see my other reviews . I had a cannon with interchangeable lenses and this still takes better pictures . Again the picture is instant and auto red eye fix and blur removal all in the instant you take the picture

is it a rechargable battery

Hi Suzanne, Yes, it is a rechargeable battery. The cord is kind of short but still ok. It plugs into the side of the camera and then into the wall or power strip etc. Cord comes with camera.

Comes with basic memory. Can be expanded with inexpensive sd cards . I have a standard card that records 300 plus hi-def images.

how long does camera run on a charge

Using it daily it seems to run for 2 to 3 weeks. Typical for lithium type rechargeable battery. I am impressed with battery performance.
