Installed this overhead garage storage a few weeks ago, and it made a huge difference. The installation was straightforward, and the materials feel sturdy and well-built. I was able to clear up a lot of floor space by storing seasonal items and bins above. It looks clean and organized now. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to maximize their garage space!

Good quality storage rack. I got the 4x8 version. If you are a DIYer, assembly is fairly straight forward. Lots of parts to assemble so plan your time accordingly. It's all metal and is heavy. I'm 60+ and was able to install by myself but just barely. You can assemble alone but final installation (hanging) really should be done by two able people. Also, don't assume your ceiling trusses all run the same direction or are equally spaced. Yes, they should be and that's what I assumed without checking before ordering. To my surprise the trusses ran one direction for the first 4 feet then switched direction for the second 4 feet. This odd configuration greatly increased the installation difficulty for me, so check your trusses before you order. In the end, I'm glad I bought this rack and enjoy having more floor space now in my garage. I'd recommend this product.

If you are not handy at all, like me, this is still possible to do alone!! The worst part of the whole ordeal was trying to make sure I was aligned properly as I had to go perpendicular to the joists. My neck was shot from looking up, and my ankles extremely sore from climbing up and down ladders constantly haha!! Wear runners, not crocs, you will thank me later! Once the brackets were up the rest was a breeze. The grating isn’t crazy heavy, but it’s large so trying to manhandle it up to the braces wasn’t super easy alone. I ended up putting a plastic stand underneath on one side to rest it on while I attached the other into the braces. Super happy with the outcome. Makes the garage look really tidy and neat. I’m slightly OCD and type A so don’t like things all over the place or the floor. So this is the perfect solution for extra storage of things I don’t use all the time. Would recommend!

This is the perfect addition to the garage for extra storage very sturdy. I highly recommend.

Shelf is working great. Instructions could have been a little better. I was struggling trying to figure things out. Template wasn’t really helpful so I ended up measuring everything and testing it with the L brackets. Probably a good idea to do it with two people because I did it myself and it took me hours. The middle vertical bracket holes didn’t line up very well so I had to hang onto the rack to try to get it to line up with the holes. I have so many holes in my ceiling due to inexperience and the weird setup of where my joist was located. For some reason the garage first joist measured 24 in from the end of the wall and then 16 inches from each joist. I also don’t think it’s spaced out exactly to measurement since some of my screws were on the edge. It’s done though I can finally rest.
