This silken hair cream has done wonders for my dry and formerly damaged multi 4C natural hair after a month of use. The speed of hair growth depends on your genetics and health. If your hair grows slowly, you want to retain as much growth as possible. It penetrates my low porosity hair leaving it soft with less shedding and fewer tangles, the key to retaining length. It enhances my styling products giving definition and shine. I use it as a leave-in conditioner and once a week on my dry hair for shine. Light enough to use with all types of hair as you don't need to use a lot. It smells wonderful like how I would imagine an herb garden in Africa. I love that it is clean, with some of the profits going to conservation in Chad and Africa. The packaging is gorgeous and everything I love about France. Worth the value, and I will continue to use this product as long as it is available.

I have straight, thick hair and this product was easy to apply and felt very lightweight. I've been using it mostly on the ends of my hair but I can also put it from roots to ends and it doesn't feel heavy! My hair looks shiny and feels hydrated and healthy. Love it!

An expensive piece of item. However, it has stopped the excess breakage. It is not greasy or oily. No residue left on hair or hands. I part my hair in two. On one side I comb out using a medium size tooth comb. Stopped using my hands. Then I put a dime size in hands, rub, apply to my ends, and up and down the hair shaft. The same to the other side. Hair stays moist.

I purchased this because of the reviews and was really disappointed. It is not as moisturizing as it says and a little does NOT go a long way. I had to use quite a bit to notice a difference. I used this after washing and conditioning. This did not detangle my hair at all. It left it more tangled after using it. The scent is ok.

Everything about this product is amazing. The packaging is beautiful. The cream is lightweight but still very hydrating without having too use a ton of the cream. My hair feels stronger and I’ve already noticed less breakage. I cannot recommend this highly enough

My teenager great-niece has type 3 hair. She's been experiencing dry, damaged hair as well as some breakage and its really starting to upset her. I ordered Salwa Petersen's Chebe du Tchad hair cream hoping it would help. And it is. This leave-in moisturizes her hair and prevents it from becoming frizzy. She has had a noticeable decrease with regards to her hair breaking and continues to see less and less breakage. This cream doesn't weigh her hair down or make it greasy. She doesn't need to use much cream to sufficiently cover her hair. The instructions say to use 1-2 'pea size' drops. She uses 1 drop's worth a 'tad' larger than pea size. That's all it takes. She's also pleased with the ingredients in the cream as well as the scent.In her opinion, this is priced high but she says its worth every penny. Because she's a full time college student and not employed, she does not know if she will purchase this after she finishes the bottle she has now. (perhaps a care package from her fave great aunt is in order? lol) When asked if she recommends this hair cream, her response is 'definitely!'.

I was surprised at the size of this hair cream. It is very large for a foreign product which usually runs smaller in size. The cream makes my hair less frizzy and more moisturized when using it. I apply just a small amount in my hands and spread it out really well and apply it when my hair is still damp but almost dry. I then brush my hair out with a wide comb to disperse it even more.
