Will the s tool cut tile with the right blade?

Yes. They make tile blades. Haven't used them more than once. It's a learning process. Have to get the right vibration going. I believe they were Bosch or Fein. Hope this helps. Personally I think the 12 volt from Milwaukee is a better tool than this. My 18 burnt out on me. My 12 is still rocking. Heavy use.

Need to repair a facia corner. Will it cut an 8x2 facia board easily?

I have used mine for cutting and trimming most everything including a 2x4. You should have no problem cutting through a 2x8 but with two considerations. One, I would start with a new blade (the wider wood blade will work better) and some type of cutting guide to follow. For that large of a piece, the tool tends to wonder if your free-handing it.

Will the 2626-20 use the same battery as the 2697-22 M18 battery drill

Yes, All the m18 tools run off the same batteries

Besides the tool, do any blades or sanding attachments come with this purchase?

The retail "bare tool" version includes (1) blade for wood plunge cuts, (1) sanding pad adapter and (3) paper pads, (1) adapter "nut" to use other branded blades.
