Nice addition for relief of my major headaches
I get pretty bad headaches, I call them migraines but I don’t know if I qualify since I’ve been getting these really bad headaches only in my 40s but they’re the kind that wear on you as the day goes on, to the point where you just have to go and lay down in a dark quiet room. Or I wake up with it and I’m hating life. Advil/Tylenol do not help at all. Which they normally do with the old type of headaches I used to get. Anyway I found that this product is very helpful and I recommend it if you suffer from headaches and looking for relief. I can’t take it straight out of the freezer and wear it like I’m supposed to over my eyes and face like they demonstrate in details above as it’s too intensely cold. I can maybe do it for about 10 seconds but it feels nice. I can leave it on my forehead and around my head and sometimes I bring it down around my neck and this primarily how I use it. I think it’s super cool that it comes with two. I thought I’d give one to my coworker when I bought it but I really like having two. 20 mins on/off and switch between the two is pretty awesome. I used to put 3 of the usual ice packs for sprains (you know the approx 4x9x0.5 flat ones) in a knee high sock and drape around neck or head. This is way better, lol. They really are intelligently or strategically placed. Never tried to sleep with it. The little ice packs come out of my freezer kinda hard but I can smush with my fingers before I put it on to loosen them up a bit. If your down for the count with headaches, I would highly recommend you try this out.Men buying for women, don’t give as bday or Xmas gift. We hate functional helpful presents like a vacuum, even though we need those kinds of things too. Give as an I love you gift. Way way more points, you know what I mean. And thank you to all the people that take time to give reviews for the stuff they buy. I don’t do it enough- pay it forward so to speak- but I always check them out for RL reviews before I buy stuff, hats off to you all. You guys that get stuff free for being regular reviewers, that’s so frigg’n cool, way to luck out, win win in my book.

Room for improvement!
The media could not be loaded. Okay, I get chronic cluster migraines. I’m very glad this hat exists, and it’s definitely better than trying to squeeze my own head by hand. There is, however, definite room for improvement.PROS• Great fabric choice — it applies gentle and even pressure to your scalp.• Further relief when cold, which is excellent.CONS• The gel doesn’t have an additive to keep it soft in the freezer, so it just gets hard. I have two, and just rotate them in the fridge so they stay soft. Nobody wants hard ice packs jabbing into their skull while living through a migraine.• It only comes in this purple. As a purple hater, this is unfortunate.• Instead of having a seamless design, the hat is made of of tiny pockets, each holding a very sharp-cornered ice pack. They do not stay put either. The packs move around a ton inside their little pockets, and the corners stab into my scalp and irritate it.• It’s very crinkly. Like, it’s a pretty loud hat. Kinda rough if you’re sound and/or texture sensitive at all.So there you go. It’s worth purchasing, but it’s far from perfect.

First Product That Works Magic On my Migraines
I have suffered from migraines since I was a preteen, and the only method I have found that works are putting ice on my head and a heat source on my feet.It is impossible to balance a bag of ice or peas on my head while I go about my day [as much as possible while in massive amounts of pain and do not have the privilege of barricading myself in my bedroom].So far the only 2 drawback I have found from this item is the coldness on my eyes when the cap is pulled down while sleeping (this is a minor drawback, you can reposition the ice packs more towards the sides) and that the fabric absorbs odors from the freezer along with having a very unpleasant smell when you remove the cap from the package (i soaked mine in fabric softener and water and store in a big ziplock bag while in the freezer and now the problem is solved). The stretchy fabric is tight enough not to slip but stretchy enough not to constrict the head. The ice packs have enough room to be moved and rearranged to be placed in the exact places you need the relief; this is pivotal for me since the throbbing spots in my head are specific. The headache/migraine relief is almost instant and if you suffer like I do you need to give this product a try, it has been life-changing for me.I would recommend buying more than one to ensure you can rotate between caps, I purchased two and my kids and husband have found so many other uses for them that I need more.My husband slides the cap up his arm to wrap around his shoulder for relief. My daughter over-extended her knee six months ago, and we slipped the cap over her leg to wrap around her knee while she slept. My son uses the cap when he gets to hot and is playing on his computer.
