I do not have an AC adapter for this music box, however, my grandchildren play with it year round and I have only had to change the batteries one time. It is well worth the money. Very cute and it captivates young childrens minds.

The light blue house in the back does not light up. The blue house really is brighter than the photo listed. There is a great amount of sparkle on the back that adds a ton of brightness with the led lights shining from above. This combo of lights and sparkle really lights up the scene nicely.
