Can I close the backlight?

no, only by unplugging the mouse...

How long is the cord?

The braided cable on this mouse is 5.9 feet long.

I was thinking about buying this mouse. Just wondering can it be used as a normal mouse as well or just specifically for games?

yes it can be used for both, but I would keep in mind it is a rather large mouse. Excellent product!!!

It can be used bluetooth, usb wireless and with usb cord. It is hands down the best mouse I've ever used.
