RPM 73622 ESC Cage for Castle Mamba Monster X, Mamba Monster 2 and Traxxas MXL, Black

I don't know where exactly it was designed to be mounted but I only found one spot on my slash 4x4 where the holes lined up. With that said, if you use these holes you have 2 options you can either put spacers underneath so that the bottom plate is above the center drive shaft channel. Or you can do what I did and notch out that part of the chassis and a little bit of the cover so that in sits on the chassis floor instead of up in the air. All in all it is a good product and great idea! If I could change one thing, I'd have 4 screws holding the top piece down on the ESC instead of just 2. Seems just a tiny bit flimsy, We'll see how it holds up tho.

Great fit. Good protection for a nice esc. Much better than velcro

If you have a Mamba Monster X and are trying to install it in a Yeti XL, this is a must have item. There is simply no way to properly secure the ESC without this guy. Worked like a champ for me.

Great cage and only the reason it received 4 stars is because of the on/off switch plate. Great idea for the switch plate but the holes you’re supposed to use to screw into the actual cage are too small. It took awhile of fiddling around to finally mount the plate very hard to screw the screws into. Had to use a power drill and a small drill bit to widen the holes

This cage fits as needed, the only thing I had to do was relocate the plate for the power switch as it was interfering with battery instalation, but it's not enough to lower the rating in my opinion

For those of you who own a Traxxas E Revo 2.0vxl and are replacing the ESC or the ESC and brushless motor with a non traxxas ESC then this item will make life 100 % easier installing a new non traxxas ESC onto your E Revo. It lines up perfectly with the factory screw holes that are used for the factory ESC

The MM2 is heavy, this thing isnt super sturdy but it will do as there arent other options out there and keep weight down.
