Hunger for Words Talking Pet Starter Set, Recordable Buttons for Dogs, Talking Dog Buttons, Teach Your Dog to Talk

Bought these as a bit of fun for the kids to try and train the dog. They worked too well, and the dog now tells us she wants a treat or her dinner or to play about a hundred times a day. Very easy to set up and the dog picked it up quickly, and despite the sometimes almost constant button mashing, especially for a treat, they seem pretty indestructible. Will be buying another set to increase her vocabulary.

These are recordable buttons for talking training with cats/dogs. Couple of issues:1) They are very big and require a decent amount of pressure, my cat has stood on them and not been able to push down2) The speakers aren’t very good/clear. Particularly with ‘t’s and ‘s’s, it’s very hard to interpret.3) The rounded buttons don’t come with labels and mean that any homemade labels peel off/don’t stick well (I made custom labels on a Cricut for them).They definitely work, and I’m sure are great for a large dog, but I’m probably going to have to return these because they’re just not suitable for my cat.

I bought these for my 2 cocker spaniels. It comes with a great little manual which allows you track progress and monitor its success. I love them. My 2 girls have adapted well and within 2 weeks know 2 of the buttons. We started with “hungry” which has become their favorite button, we then moved on to “play” which is their second favorite. I think this is excellent and love the idea. I think it’s great value for money. One thing I will say is to get batteries!!!

First of all they are really easy to use and our dog has gotten the hang of them very quickly - it's useful to have an audio indicator of when he wants something.The audio quality isn't fantastic, but if you speak clearly and loudly away from the mic it picks up a sound with good enough quality to make out the word.The main problem we have is that they are not at all waterproof, and the durability is not great. Our dog tends to hold a bit of water in his mouth after drinking and if he goes over to press a button and it gets wet it suddenly starts playing the sound over and over and resetting the recording. Clearly, there is no protection from any liquid on the circuit-board right under the button so the water gets down the sides and shorts it. Luckily, it's easy enough to take apart and dry/repair.Admittedly, the advert doesn't say they are waterproof so it's just an unfortunate scenario. But it's worth mentioning in case other people could have the same issue!TLDR;Great, simple devices which we and the dog love. Could do with some small durability improvements.

The product is good material wise but the playback audio is not so good.

I recorded my voice on the buttons and the volume was so low and the recording so muffled (no matter how clearly and loudly I tried it) they were useless. Also there were no stickers for the tops just coloured bases so adding to them would be very confusing.

My German shepherd has a new way for communication. We are enjoying this .

I really liked these buttons, but my dog didn’t. The voice was loud and he thought I was hollering at him. So he would walk away from them. Also my doggie already would tell us what he wants his way. I just thought it would be fun. So I would still recommend to dog owners if your doggie is not as sensitive like mine. He gets his feelings hurt if we use a loud voice hehe

Reasonably good quality audio buttons for starting to train your dog to talk. The audio can be a bit fuzzy unless you speak directly into the speaker/mic when recording. The buttons are also pretty durable, we have a 15lb small dog but she tends to get overexcited to tell us her demands and kicks the buttons around like hockey pucks. :) Kit includes easy step-by-step instructions for how to teach your dog.

犬と猫が家にいるため、2匹ともに使用しようと2セット購入しました。ボタンを購入したのは今回が初めてだったのですが、４ヶ月と少しの期間ボタンを使用して、個人的にいい点と悩ましい部分がはっきりとしましたので、今後購入を検討されている方に向けて参考にして頂ければいいなと思い、備忘録としてレビューを投稿しました。（補足）現在は猫が2セットのボタンを使用しており、今回のレビューは猫が使用した際のものとなります。______________________・ボタンの押し心地について我が家の猫は体重が５㎏あり後ろ足などで押す事が簡単にできましたが、小型で3kgの我が家の犬は、体重や前足にかける力が足りないようで、音声がなるまでボタンを押し込むことが困難でした。そのため、他の方のレビューにもあるように、体重がある程度あるワンちゃんか、中型犬から上のワンちゃんでなければ、ボタンの使用が少し困難かもしれません。使用の際、稀にボタンが反応しないことがありましたが、何度も使用する際にボタンの上部分が回転してしまいボタンの押し心地が固くなることがあるようで、押し込む上部分を回転させるといつも通りの押し心地に修正できました。押し心地に関しては個人的にこれといった不具合は今のところありません。・録音機能についてサイドにあるボタンでの録音が可能で、音質はまあまあ良い感じ…！といった感じです。音声の音量は録音時の距離や声のトーンなどでかなり変わるため、大きくも小さくもなります。何度も取り直しが可能なので、自分がいいと感じたボタンの音声になるまで、音の大きさや声のトーンなどを自分で確認して、セッティングすることが可能です。サイドにあるボタンを犬や猫に押されて音声がリセットした事は今のところありませんが、お掃除する際に持ち方をミスったり、たまたま私の足先などに当たってしまった際に、音声がリセットされてしまうことがありましたので、少し注意が必要かもしれません。購入していないため、なんとも言えませんがトーキングペットにはボタン設置のマットがあるようなので、心配な方はそれを設置するといいかもしれませんね。また、録音の際に何か上手くいかないと感じた場合、録音ボタンを押して声を発する前後に無音の時間を1秒ほど、ほんの少し置くことでうまく録音される可能性が上がりました。録音機能に関しても個人的にこれといった不具合は今のところありません。・大きさについて大きさは手のひらぐらい、Google Homeよりひと回り小さいかな？という感じです。数を今後増やす場合は意外と場所が必要になるな…といった印象ですが、この大きさだからこそ押す範囲が広く、押し慣れていく際の過程として大事な、偶然ボタンを押すことができるタイミングを誘発しやすく便利でした。・その他電源のオンオフがないため、ボタンをたくさん押す猫ちゃんやワンちゃんの場合は、音量によっては大変賑やかになってしまうので、設置場所を変更しないでいいようにある程度音が鳴っても大丈夫な場所にボタンを設置したり、ボタンに慣れてきてたくさん押すようになったタイミングで録音した際の音量を小さくしてもいいかもしれませんね。__________________________特に目立った不具合はなく、使用してとても困った…ということもないので、個人的には、初めてのボタンはこれでよかったな〜と感じています。今回はこちらのスターターセットを購入しましたが、日本語版のスターターがあるようなので、次回はそちらを近々購入予定です。音声の質が良くなっているようなのでそちらの使用も楽しみです。__________________________・個人的な感想（ボタンあんまり関係ない）犬や猫とコミュニケーションを取ることは一部の人たち以外は正直無理だろうな〜とかなりの諦めから入りましたが、教えてみてよかったかもなと感じています。根気がかなり必要だったこともあり、飼い主側が時より諦めつつ休憩を入れての長丁場、単語を使った会話の回数を日常に取り入れたり、おもちゃで遊びながら偶然押すようにしたり…猫なので簡単にボタンを避けることができてしまい、ボタンを押すという行動を、人の手で運ぶことなく押させることが結構難しいな…と苦戦しました。今ではボタンを通してある程度の会話をすることが可能になりましたが、「単語」で「ある程度」の会話が可能になるだけで、もちろん彼らと人間のように流暢な会話をできたりする訳ではないので、彼らの気分で会話しない日もありますし、要求を却下しても要求が通るまで連打したり、30分前の会話をボタンで会話したりと、ラグがあったりもします。正直、飼い主側が押されたボタンの単語で要求を察したり考えたりしなければならないので、ボタンを覚えることと覚えないことの差は、察する際にヒントが増える事かなと感じました。押すことを強要せず、ボタンを押さないとやってあげないよ〜ではなくて、ボタンを押さなくても飼い主が理解できることは押さなくても答えてあげることや、覚えさせる！けど、今すぐじゃなくていいや、いつか使ってよね、という感じの根気強く教える！でも気負いせずに長い時間がかかることを認識した上で教えるスタンスで飼い主も教えられる側も無理なく会話できるようにすることが大事だなと感じました。これから始める方は、自分の心身に無理せずにゆっくり挑戦してみてくださいね。このレビューが誰かにとって参考になりますように。
